Prei Nokor Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Cute little hostel, great location. Nice staff, but best to know a little Vietnamese as most don't speak English.

Note: Reception is not open 24/7 as stated, here is a big garage door they close at night and there is no doorbell or anything. So I'm assuming there's a curfew too. I'm not sure what time they close the door but if you come back late tberea no way to get back in. I was stranded outside Ho Chi Minh City all night. There are 24h coffee shops around, which don't mind you lingering though thank God.

This was the best hostel of my 2 month trip. I loved this place; it feels like it has been designed by people who genuinely care about their guests’ stay, and the staff who work there carry that feeling through as they are so friendly and helpful. Considering the hostel is so close to the night market the dormitory was one of the quietest I’ve stayed in (anywhere!). The rooms are lovely; the pillows & mattresses were very comfy, and the bed area with lights and curtains was cleverly designed & really make it feel like you have your own personal space. Based on 8 night stay, its hard to choose but this are my top 3 reasons; Location: safe walking distance to all major points of interest. Comfort: clean air conditioned rooms, private beds feel like a Japanese capsule hotel with ample locker storage fits 2 carry-on bags. Staff: very friendly, always minimum 2 on shift to assist with anything from airport pickup to getting around the city. Located outside the main backpacker zone, this hostel has more of a boutique hotel feel.
