AN CUA SAIGON — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

As a thai people who loves seafood, I would say I have high expectations of when looking forward to enjoying my meal, and this restaurant do delivered!

Most of the food and sauce taste kinda sweet, which is a little unusual for thai tongue (we usually stay in the salty, spicy, sour area), but it gave us quite an easily enjoyable meal. The crab meat with cheese (in a crab shell) is mostly cheese, eating it felt like eating cheesecake (in a good way!). We also order a riverprawn with mentaiko sauce, which again is kinda sweet but still enjoyable.

We choose crab meat fried rice with omelette as adish to fill most our stomach, the fried rice smells good, but the taste is kinda light (compare to chinese style, or thai style fried rice). A little touch of soy sauce helped elevate the taste a lot.

Lastly for the main dish, the crab, is unfortunately not available in big size (you should check in advance). We choose the medium size male crab with spicy butter sauce. The dish came with a free bread (help getting you full) that can be eat together with the sauce. Spicy butter sauce is, again, more on the sweet side with a little spicy note. The crab is very fresh, no contest, as it is still alove when you order it.

The meal was just fantastic!!!! It’s been a long time I haven’t had anything that was cooked just nicely and everything was just enough as such! The restaurant was small and costly one nestled in the small street of Saigon. there were small ponds built in in the front part of the restaurant which can be observed throughout the glass wall from outside in. The waiting time worse long, though we have been warned, but it’s still really long, actually 20 to 30 minutes per dish. The staff was busy yet friendly, and forgot 1 dish among all my orders, that was genuine mistake. I recently dined at AnCuaSaiGon and had a wonderful experience. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food absolutely justifies it. Every dish was flavorful, well-presented, and clearly made with care.

The service was also excellent — the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our meal. Despite not leaving a tip (as it's not expected here), the service remained warm and efficient.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my visit. Great food, great service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a quality dining...
