Avoid this Hotel at All Costs!!!

We booked our stay at a different hotel named Nicecy through Booking.com, and shortly after, the hotel contacted us via the app to confirm the reservation, warning us that if we didn’t arrive by 4 PM, they couldn’t hold our room.

When we arrived, the receptionist, speaking very poor English, informed us that the AC was broken but offered to move us to Milky Way hotel.

After checking other reviews here and on Booking.com, it became clear this is likely part of their scam. Many guests reported similar experiences, and it seems they even encourage fake 5-star reviews to manipulate their ratings and offer "upgrades" to inferior hotels. This hotel which they tried to move us to has terrible reviews, with complaints about dirt, stolen property, rats, and noise.

We refused the offer and decided to cancel our reservation immediately. Unfortunately, since we canceled, we aren’t able to leave a review on Booking.com, which means other travelers may fall victim to this deceptive practice.

Me and my husband booked this hotel for 3 nights for our vacation in Vietnam. We checked thoroughly the reviews in booking.com and everything seemed very positive. |We arrived very late at night and when we walked in the room, we wanted to cry. |The smell of mold was so strong, no windows, long hair everywhere on the floor, ants everywhere, dirty bedhseets full of stains and mold, dirt in every corner, dirty walls, dirty floors. I asked if they could put us in a different room but it was sold out, so we had no choice than to lay in bed. We slept very bad due to the bedhseets, smell and constant noises on the hallway. In the morning we went up for breakfast, and it was AWFUL!!!! The service is also so bad, they can barely speak english. |Booking sorted a full refund for us, but when we checked out, they gave me cash for the remaining two nights and didn’t want to give me back the money for the night we stayed. We stayed here for 3 nights and had continuous problems with our aircon, it leaked constantly leaving huge puddles of water on the floor. They came to ‘fix it’ the first day and shoved a towel in the vent (major fire hazard) it then started leaking again and was again ‘fixed’ the following day it leaked again. We asked to change rooms and were told there were no rooms available the hotel was full. Stood and waited in reception and suddenly an hour later they decided they had a room. They tried to get us to cancel our booking and offered us 20% back so we wouldn’t complain which we declined!! |There is a window that opens into the stairwell which the lock was broken and shines the light in with no blind which is very annoying at night! |The shower doesn’t have a curtain or divider so the water sprays everywhere! |Mattress is old and so are the sheets.
