PHONG TRO HUE — Hotel in Hue City

Terrible experience! We went to this hotel just because it's the first hotel we saw after a night on bus. A staff (a girl) in hotel took me around to check the room first before deciding if we would stay or not. By that time all the rooms I saw were not cleaned yet, very messy and bad smell WC. Then I decided to stay with the price is 250,000d/night/single room but we would take our rooms after they clean them. I asked if I can leave my bag in the room while they cleaning it to go out for breakfast, she said "Ok". Then I left my bag, gave her my passport, and went out. But when we went back 1 hour later to check in, their staff said sorry to us for a mistake about price she told me last time. She said it's 350,000d/per night/room because it's vacation time now. I didn't accept, coz I checked price of the other hotels before we went to Hue, no place like that, even their last price was a bit higher than the other places (I accepted coz I didn't want to walk around to find another). She tried to convinced us with a lower price 300,000d/night, but I didn't accept and I wanted to find another place . So she told me to go to our room and waited for her to ask her manager again. When I went in the room, I was shocked coz it still stay the same before I leave, messy and smell. So I decided to take my bag and left. But when I went down to get my passport back, a woman (maybe manager) told that I have to pay 30% coz we used WC in the room (the fact we didn't use anything). I was shocked the second time and annoyed with this ridiculous reason but didn't wanna get argument so I paid 70,000d and left. So my recommend is: Staying AWAY this place!!! It's even not...

EVERYONE MUST NOT TRUST THE STAFFS HERE. This is an aweful place. Everyone who visits Hue should NEVER EVER enter this place. All the hotel staffs are liers.

Let me share my experience. It does makes me furious. At first, my travelmates, and me were dropped off in front of this cafe transfering to hoi an. They said we need to wait 40 mins for the bus, and then we want ed to walk around and to see the statue at the riverside. It's 5 mins walk estamated by google maps. The staff kept telling us it's very far from here, and you should take a motorbike taxi to visit. The driver will also give you a ride to the bus later. We said NO and walked there by feet.

However, when we return back to cafe in 10 mins, other tourists were gone and no staffs told us where they went and pretended nothing happened. After another 10 mins gone, a scooter taxi driver talking to us and said the bus is leaving now. The bus was parked very far, we can give you a ride to there for 80000 per person. We think the whole thing is too unreasonable, so we double checked with cafe staffs three times. The staff said that you truat me, and then you can trust him. We have no choice but to take the scooter taxi with 25000 per person after bargaining. We got on the scooter, and then drivers went right and rode around the block dropping off us at a corner just about 150m away from the cafe on the left. The hotel staffs and the drivers utilize such TRICKS many times. They CHEATED us all together.

Please don't, as most of the reviews said its not a good place. Expensive, dirty and dirty of fake deals Expensive for what they offered, pushy staff who just care about making some dollars from you,theh will offer you any kind of service but is horrible. We stayed there for 3 nights, the bed sheets were never changed even if we asked to. The room was also not cleaned daily, just for some reason they took the toilet paper and the towels so every day we had to ask for them. Cockroaches everywhere and rats in the lobby and kitchen. For $15dlls a night it was expensive and they wanted 25,000d for each dollar (currently the exchange rate is around 22,500d for a dollar Breakfast isn't bad but every morning a bus made a stop over there so they were to busy to attend you and travelers being upset with the service.
