ChocoHouse Hue_chocolate and coffee — Restaurant in Hue City

i loved it here so much that I had to come twice in two days. I went solo to do some remote work the first time and knew I had to bring my sister around for a second time. Great place to get work done or have a coffee date. Chocohouse is such a cute family-owned business that you can tell invests a lot into their building, service, and the quality of their chocolate. As a Việt Kiều, I tend to be self-conscious about how my Vietnamese comes across, but all of the staff have such kind souls and helped me feel right at home :’) I even met the owner (thinking he was just a painter at first) and it’s clear how much he loves running this business with his sister. They were both so lovely and know a great deal of English; would absolutely recommend anyone—Vietnamese people, Viet Kieu, tourists alike—come to Chocohouse and be welcomed like family!

My favorite drinks: The Hue original chocolate drink satisfied my sweet tooth and my need for a cold drink on a warm day. Another favorite was the chocolate egg cream, which my sister and I fell in love with. Their menu of chocolate drinks has soooo many fun options that I’ll have to come back and try next...

We came here because of all the good reviews. A lovely girl met me on the outside. She brought us inside and let us order something to drink. She was super friendly and talked very good english. She asked were we were from and such, and was very lovely. I ordered a dark frost, I think it was called. Like an ice blended chocolate drink. It was VERY good! Not too sweet. My boyfriend also loved his drink. They even gave us some water in a cool bottle. She came by to ask if everything was okey. The service was Amazing. There was also another guy who Said hi and goodbye when we left in a lovely sweet way. The drink was around 60000vnd, so a nice price I would say. Note that this is a place who specialises in chocolate, so most of the meny is chocolate related. But they do also serve different kinds of juice if you don't want chocolate. This guy lace also does accommodation for visitors, and has a few rooms. We were happy with our stay here. No lift,so we had to bring heavy bags up two flights of stairs. Host was responsive and spoke good English. The air con is good, but the doors have big gaps, so the heat is constantly getting in, necessitating the machine to be on all the time in order to keep the room in someway cold. The doors are not soundproof at all to the standard of hotel doors, so you hear a lot of commotion at all times echoing up the stairwell. The room was basic but clean. Quite a few mosquitoes, but I guess it is hard to stop them getting in. We kept the balcony door closed, but we were probably dealing with mosquitoes left over from the previous guest...
