Ngoc Binh Hotel — Hotel in Hue City

We were 10 people and had booked 5 rooms. The owner was very hospitable. The accommodation does not have an elevator and as much help as the owner offered we had to carry the luggage up to the 3rd floor. Also, the accommodation is located on a small pedestrian street and you will have to carry your luggage from the main road there. (see photo) The good thing is that the owner had booked us a small van that picked us up from the airport and we had a guided tour of the city's sights. Some rooms smelled suffocatingly of mold. The fridge was very dirty both inside and out and we had no desire to put anything inside (see photos). The sheet had stains (see photo). We called the owner to show him the dirty spots and the mold. His answer was that since we paid such a cheap price we shouldn't have such complaints. Let me in turn reply to the owner that we stayed for 20 days in various places in Vietnam. All the hotels were at the same prices. This was the worst in terms of the smell of mold and the cleanliness. The rest of the hotels had elevators, they were clearly better cleaned, they had 2 towels for each person while this one only had one, they had more shampoo for us to wash, while here there was a small sachet. The breakfast was adequate. The bathrooms were clean and appeared to have been renovated with new tiles. However, the plumber had destroyed the accommodation. Poor plumbing resulted in walls filled with moisture with swollen plaster and many rooms smelling...

Hotel is nice and the staff spoke English. The decor could have done with a bit of an update, and some walls would benefit from a paint job - but overall the place was nice and clean.

Breakfast was included in the room rate. However, your options were limited to: Fried Egg, Omallete, Banana Pancake and Boiled Egg. Each was served with fruit, bread roll and a cup of tea/ coffee. Quality was okay, but more options would have been appreciated.

Room was okay, but the WiFi was slow. If you needed to upload photos/ videos, or do some work, the connection was unusable. For general browsing, it was okay - just needed...

Overall a good experience

Slightly rocky start as told the room I booked wasn't the room I booked and requested more payment, however was more than fair was evidence and pictures were shown.

The pros Beds here are really really comfortable Good fan and AC especially as so hot All staff especially the main guy is lovely Good shower pressure

The cons Ant problem in room Drainage in shower a little slow

Overall for the price paid it was good value for money and its a good small business.

Lots of restaurants close by and easy to experience everything hue has to offer
