Arriving at the Gosia Hotel in Nha Trang was certainly an experience. ||The staff were not friendly or welcoming at all and seemed very stressed. It was the opposite to the welcomes we had received every where else in Vietnam. ||||The hotel is quite shabby and dated and the front desk at reception was messy and disorganised. ||There were a lot of stains on the carpets in the hallways and our Son was staying in a seperate room which was very unclean and dirty there were stains on the tiled floor. The sheets and towels had stains on them and were not clean. The shower was disgusting with hair and mould growing on the base of the shower and had not been cleaned properly. ||My son was not happy and asked to be moved the hotel obliged and upgraded him to the next level room which was a bit better but was not any cleaner in the bathroom with mould all on the blind in the bathroom and along the tile area. Very dated with old fashioned bath shower where water goes everywhere down behind and beside the bath and flows out from under the bath luckily there is a drain in the floor in the corner of the bathroom floor where the water can drain but before this happens the water pools on the floor.||||There was no electrical outlets in the bathrooms which was strange because you couldn’t use the hairdryer or an electrical shaver in the bathroom but had to use the them in the bedroom area. ||||There was never enough toilet paper provided and no tissues provided which I found extremely annoying as I developed a cold whilst in Nha Trang and had to buy tissues and more coffee, black tea bags and coffee?? ||||The pool area on the top floor of the Hotel was very poor the carpet was very dirty and again stained and the pool looked dirty. There were not enough tables and chairs for guests to sit on and the toilet and shower facilities were very outdated and again dirty. ||||The staff at the restaurant at breakfast were not friendly and seemed to be more interested in making sure you were actually staying at the Hotel and not just getting a free breakfast. ||One of the staff members actually burped in front of me when I was trying to ask questions about tours in Nha Trang I was extremely disappointed ☹️ ||||The staff were not welcoming or hospitable and seemed to be very disorganised and stressed. ||||I would never stay at this...
Read moreI highly recommend Gosia Hotel. By western standards, you will feel like you are staying in a much more expensive hotel ($200+/night) for only $46/night! Room was incredible. We had reserved a city view room, but they gave us a beach/water view on the 18th floor. The view with the floor to ceiling windows was amazing. ||||The room had two beds, a sitting area, desk, closet, shelving, and a small balcony. Sheets and duvet were of high thread count. Room had TV, A/C, 2 bottles of water/day, blow dryer, and beach sandals to borrow. Decor looked like the unit had recently been remodeled with new plank flooring and quartz counters. Bathroom was large with glass shower stall, "rain" shower, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush/paste, comb, Q-tips. Towels were of high quality. Instant hot water and good water pressure. Beach towels are available at the front desk.||||Pool area on the roof is clean and overlooks the ocean. The pool is relatively small, but refreshing. The seating is limited, but it didn't get crowded when we were there. There are shaded and sun areas to sit. There is a bathroom in the pool area. ||||The included breakfast has a diverse menu that changes daily. Most food items were Asian, but there are plenty of western choices, and eggs can be cooked to order. Food was good. Nice variety of fruit and hot items each day. Breakfast room was well lit and pleasant. ||||Employees at the front desk spoke English well and were very helpful and accommodating with storage of equipment we had and arranging rides in the early morning. ||||Gosia Hotel is right in the heart of town. There are lots of good restaurants in the area. It is an easy walk to most tourist locations. For instance, a walk to Long Son Pagoda or Dam Market took about 25 minutes. Go early to avoid the heat. The beach is one block away. ||||I would definitely return to...
Read moreGosia hotel was ok. We had early check in and late check out included in our booking (this was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel), despite contacting the hotel 2 days before to say we will be arriving early, we were not able to avail of the early check in, also when we were leaving we were not able to avail of the late check out (1 extra hour allowed - hardly any use to anyone that has a train 7 hours later) as “the rooms were full” as it was busy season. I do not think that this should be ‘included’ in the booking if it is not always guaranteed.
Breakfast was absolutely terrible, not worth the money one bit unless you fancy some stale eggs and some cucumber and a look that could kill from some of the staff. Not much of a selection at all.
Pool was ok, not the most amazing place to sit and didn’t look as nice as the photographs with dirty glass surrounds etc. and a total of 4 sunbeds, 2 of which were in the shade.
Rooms were really nice and clean, I can not fault them here....
