We are Americans traveling Vietnam and the world. I have celiacs disease (an allergy to gluten) and many Vietnamese dishes are naturally gluten free but tonight we were in the mood for something different.
I saw, by reading reviews that gf dishes were marked on the menu of this restaurant so we walked over to it (a couple of miles).
We were greeted by such friendly employees and they were helpful ordering but the menu also states what’s gluten free.
Honestly, some people are ‘afraid’ to eat gluten free because they think it has no taste but that’s not the case! We shared a Greek salad for an appetizer (the portions are a good size) and I had chicken on a skewer and French fries and my husband had a country chicken dish with French fries and we were treated to some delicious dessert. I had white wine and my husband had beer.
The chicken was succulent and well seasoned and my husband said the same about his dish. The French fries were crunchy and good and we each had some small veg. The Greek salad was out of this world but more importantly I felt safe.. that wouldn’t be glutened.
Everything was delicious and we were so happy we went. The owner came over and introduced himself and was very nice. I strongly recommend you support this little restaurant. The owner is from Greece and it seems...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed my visit here. I ordered the seafood platter for one which was 310,000VND (roughly £12.40). This is quite expensive for Vietnam prices but I was not disappointed. The platter was huge. It included lots of delicious dishes such as grilled fish, fried fish in a breadcrumb type batter, shrimp, calamari, clams, muscles and dips with bread, chips and a side salad . The owner took the time to explain what fish paired with what sauce, which I really appreciated. It's more than enough food to share. If you don't want the massive platter I highly recommend the calamari and the talziki and mayo dips. I didn't enjoy the musscles in the sagnaki sauce as it was a bit smokey for my taste and not enough cheese. It also takes a little while to prepare the food which isn't long compared to usual restaurant standards but in Vietnam everything is served so quickly. After the meal they gave us a free dessert which was really delicious and ended the meal perfectly. The decor inside the restaurant is also beautiful; it's just like the...
Read moreIf you’re craving Greek cuisine while in Nha Trang, this is the place to go. We ordered the Mix Mix platter and were blown away – a generous serving of grilled meat and seafood that could easily satisfy four people, not just two. Everything was cooked fresh to order and bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavor – it genuinely felt like dining in Greece.
The menu offers a huge variety of options, from seafood to traditional Greek dishes, and we appreciated the small but delicious dessert that rounded off the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with Greek-themed decor and a lovely indoor-outdoor flow.
The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Greek food or just looking to try something different, Mix Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
