Pavillon Boutique Hotel & Apartment Nha Trang — Hotel in Nha Trang City

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks. At first, we booked a room of 45 square meters – it was beautiful, spacious, with a kitchenette (no stove, but there was a microwave and a large refrigerator), and had a nice view. For the next 11 days, we booked a smaller room of 24 square meters. However, by the end of our stay, we discovered that the room we were given was actually only 22 square meters, even though we had paid for the larger one. The price difference was not significant, but it was still unpleasant, especially considering that we extended our stay here twice within two weeks. Housekeeping was done daily, but we requested cleaning only 2–3 times a week. Still, the staff always left water, coffee, and a hygiene set at the door. The quality of cleaning was average: we always try to keep the room tidy ourselves, but doing a proper floor cleaning shouldn’t be difficult. After cleaning, there was always sand and hair left on the floor, and throughout the week we noticed a white stain under the bed that nobody seemed to bother removing. On the positive side, the hotel has an excellent location near the beach and local shops and cafés, beautiful views from the rooms, crisp clean bed linen, new appliances, and a good, quiet air conditioner. Although it is very reasonable in price and a convenient location, I faced many inconveniences here.

First, the cigarette smell was powerful in the first room (even though I requested a non-smoking room). I was transferred to the second room. The room was acceptable, but the cigarette smell was powerful in the toilet. I tried everything to eliminate it (according to the staff's instructions), but it was still impossible. That night, I had to accept the inconvenience. The next day, I asked the staff to deal with it. They did it, but it still smelled of cigarettes, and they asked me not to turn on the ventilation fan.

The second worst experience was when I asked for the room to be cleaned the next day. I returned after 1pm, but the room was still not cleaned. When I was in the room, there was a knock on the door; before I could open it, the cleaner opened the door to come in. I asked for cleaning in the afternoon of the same day because the trash bin was full, and the receptionist told me that the cleaner had finished working. The experiences weren't so bad as to be considered terrible, but...

Overall the hotel was pleasant enough but I definitely would not rate this as a 4-star hotel.

The bathroom flooded every time we had a shower because the water splashes out of the bathtub onto the floor. Phone didn’t work when I tried to ring the reception for more towels. When first arriving to the hotel, stairs lead up to the reception desk, so you have to carry suitcases. Cash only for payment of the room. No breakfast services or mini bar in the room. Cupboard had a moldy smell. Kitchen in the room had no cutlery, glassware or crockery. Just a bunch of empty cupboards. Balcony has no furniture. TV has no channels to flick through, only apps where you have to log in (but most travelers wouldn’t be able to use their home accounts). We could only get 1 room key. Rooms are definitely not sound proof. Bathroom has no hooks or anywhere to hang towels.
