I recently stayed at Queen Ann Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience, thanks to the wonderful staff and the hotel’s willingness to listen to feedback. Please note that this hotel is rated a 5-star hotel but it really isn’t. This is more like a 3- or 4-star hotel.
Staff Highlights: The team at Queen Ann Hotel really made my stay special. Nghia and Tuyen, the two bellmen, were always attentive and quick to assist with luggage, offering a friendly greeting each time I passed through the lobby. Uyen and the restaurant manager Huong were especially accommodating when I had specific requests during the breakfast hours and they were receptive to feedback. Front desk staff, particularly Duy, were also helpful, quickly addressing my needs for toiletries and further clarifying the deposit process and ensuring everything went smoothly with check-in and check-out.
Pros: The hotel was responsive to guest requests, making sure to deliver additional toiletries without any hassle. The front desk and restaurant staff were particularly professional and went above and beyond in addressing any questions or concerns. The hotel’s location is somewhat quite convenient for exploring the area, and the facilities were clean and maintained but could use newer upgrades.
One of the standout features of the hotel was the spa, which offered a truly great experience. It was a relaxing and peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing and provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. The quality of treatment was great, and I found it far preferable to the crowded and often overwhelming shops on the streets outside. If you're looking for a quiet, rejuvenating experience, I highly recommend the spa.
Cons: While my overall stay was enjoyable, there were a few drawbacks. One major issue was the lack of elevator attendants. Despite hosting many international tourists, including large groups, there was no one managing the elevators, which created chaos, especially during peak hours. On two occasions, I had a particularly unpleasant experience with some guests, who pushed me into the elevator and didn’t give me the space to exit properly. The behavior of some Chinese tourists was quite inconsiderate—they were loud, rude, and showed no regard for elevator etiquette.
I did bring this up with Restaurant Manager Huong, suggesting that the hotel consider having a video demonstration on proper elevator etiquette or perhaps even having someone in charge of managing the elevators during peak times. This could greatly enhance the guest experience, as the lack of elevator management was a significant inconvenience and detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.
Overall Impression: The Queen Ann Hotel’s staff truly make a difference, and I appreciated their responsiveness and professionalism. However, the subpar breakfast buffet, noisiness, inconsistent wi-fi connection, slow elevators, and lack of attention to guest etiquette—specifically in the elevators—was a downside. With some improvements in this area, the hotel could provide a more seamless and enjoyable experience...
Read moreMy girlfriends and I spent hours combing through hotels in Nha Trang to find the right combo. Unfortunately Queen Ann let us down on most fronts due to terrible customer service. Here are our series of unfortunate events. -They took all 3 passports on check in ??? -When we arrived we had been placed in the wrong room a 3 bed "sea view" not 3 bed Ocean view. We spent hours arguing with the front desk who insisted that we booked sea view (fyi this was a view of the wall of the building next door and if you stick your head around the corner you can see a glimpse of the beach) when we had receipts and emails between us that clearly stated "OCEAN VIEW 3 BED". We finally received an ocean view room which was a much smaller 2 bedroom with a trundle as they had double booked all the other 3 bedroom rooms with ocean views (no discount btw). -We then tried to get another layer of mattress for the trundle as it was so uncomfortable and they refused and said they had no other mattresses, they finally gave us a second one after an hour of back and forth. (Meanwhile the male staff kept looking through our room? We assume he was seeing if there was anyone else in the room that we were trying to hide) -We booked massages and all of our massage packages were wrong and lost in translation. (Although the spa ladies were lovely) -Room service would take over an hr and front desk would hang up on us when we would call to enquire -bed sheets only changed on request My friend tried to ask the front desk about transfers to Vinpearl and the staff started talking in Vietnamese to each other and both of them burst out laughing IN HER FACE! The male staff literally had to duck under the desk to hide his laughter from the foyer. When they stopped laughing they were incredibly rude and abrupt."NO TRANSFERS." -when returning from Vinpearl at 9pm, the same manager we made the complaint to and 3 staff were waiting for us. They said they were sorry for their rude staff and would send us some tea and cake to our room to apologise...BUT THEN told us there was tan on the bed sheets (which they had packaged and labelled at the front desk ready to confront us on our return.) and told us they would be charging us 30 percent extra for this?!? Never have I been charged for tan on sheets ! And to be greeted after Soo much hassle while they prepared our extra charges WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. -when trying to discuss these charges with manager he started to raise his voice and talk over us -room service delivered us a dirty napkin -bugs in the room that constantly bit me and left me with little bumps every where -when trying to finalise room payment they had told us they charged us the full amount at check in but then laughed and said "the new guy made a mistake" it was that price X 6 -not enough AC in the gym -lifts are slow
In all my years of travelling and staying in hotels around the world I have never experienced such outrageously poor...
Read moreNot the 5 star hotel as they claim to be!I would not say this hotel is higher than a 3-4 star hotel. We went to Queen Ann Nha Trang Hotel based on images & description available online. There were not much helpful reviews but we went ahead with Premier Twin Ocean View Balcony on 22nd floor. Hotel is 40 mins approx drive and they provided free airport transfers. We informed them about our flight landing time and their representative was available to receive us.
Room: Make sure you get an ocean view room. We got an ocean view room, and it was so nice waking up to beach view every morning. Spacious clean great view and space for everything. Comfortable beds, plugs each side ample storage space for things etc. large bathroom with rain shower plus large bath. Location: Very good location with walkable distance to many good food and the Nha Trang Beach. The famous Nha Trang Beach is just across the street, short walk from hotel. There is a lot of marts, convenience stores, walking distance from various restaurants. Staff: Staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Some people did not know English but still we were able to communicate for what we wanted. The complimentary platter of fruits that was waiting for us in the room was a good idea.
Downsides: Hotel asks for your passports or 100$ as deposit. It would be better if the hotel informed about this in advance instead of informed us about this at the time of check-in. Complimentary breakfast buffet: The food in the restaurant wasn’t the best. The breakfast was below standard for a 5 star hotel. Food and drinks options are limited. Breakfast selection especially fruits station, drinks station and bakery station can also be improved in terms of quality and could have more variety. Rubber slippers in the room: looked very old and worn and it would be better if they were replaced with textile ones or in cotton or waffle material No welcome drinks & refreshing towels...
