Phu Quoc Bambusa Resort — Hotel in Phú Quốc

From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with this enchanting place. Nestled on a peaceful road in a serene rural setting, the location offers the perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility. Within just a 5-minute drive, you can reach some stunning beaches, and if you’re on a scooter, the main sights along the west coast—both north and south—are effortlessly close. Conveniently, the resort rents scooters and also provides complimentary bikes for guests to explore the area.

The on-site restaurant serves delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but you’re also spoiled for choice with a wide range of restaurants and spas just a 5–10 minute walk away. We stayed in a charming pool-view bungalow, which, while showing some signs of age, added character and a homely vibe to our stay.

An interesting quirk we noticed was the appearance of mosquitos between 5–7 PM. This became our designated downtime—perfect for relaxing before heading out to dinner around 8–9 PM. Despite being a popular time, the restaurants nearby were always lively but never required reservations.

We visited in late November for a week and were truly impressed by the warm hospitality, the exceptional value for money, and the overall atmosphere. A special shoutout to Prabhy from India and the rest of the kitchen team for making breakfast a delight every morning. And of course, Anh, the resort manager, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely wonderful.

I stayed here for a few nights and my room faced the garden. It was basically a little bungalow with a unit above me too. I came here to have peace and quite and I got it. The property was great at creating an atmosphere of a retreat. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. My room was large and comfortable. ||The bathroom was a little strange in that it had a large window screen that faced the walkway. There wasn’t a window that you could close. The shower was further back in the restroom and the window was a little higher up, but sometimes I worried if someone could see me showering. One day I returned to my room and maintenance guys were leaving the bungalow next to mine and then asked to come inside mine so they could check the water in the shower. It seemed like they would have just walked in if I wasn’t there (which seems to be the case for my neighbor). ||The pool was nice, they provide beach towels, a beach bag, and flip flops, which were great. To get to the beach, they will drive you there in their golf cart. This was convenient since they are down a long road and it would be a long walk. They also rent motorbikes for the day, which I took advantage of to go to town and meet a group for scuba diving. ||I ordered food both nights for dinner at the restaurant and had it delivered to my room.
