Would 120% recommend this place if you're craving Italian pizza while in Phu Quoc! We mostly eat Vietnamese food when in Vietnam but we occasionally crave something a little different that reminds us of home. We wouldn't order a pizza from the Western section on a Vietnamese restaurant menu (order the Vietnamese food otherwise you'll be disappointed 90% of the time) but we knew The Spot Pizza was dishing up legit Italian style pizza when we saw the photos and read the reviews. We're staying at a resort close by and we ventured out to try the few options within walking distance to support a range of local businesses. We're so happy The Spot Pizza was one of the options! We ordered two takeaway pizzas and had a mojito while we were waiting. Then we took the pizzas to the beach and grabbed a few cold beers from the shop on the way to the beach. It was the perfect dinner and worth missing out on a meal of Vietnamese food (even though we loooooove Vietnamese food). Music was playing and the vibe was good at the outdoor restaurant so it would have been good to eat there too. They had a selection of wine and a few other drink options. Go here if you have a chance to! So good and the prices are amazing compared to Australia with quality that's equally as good, if not better than most. Keep up the great work team and thanks.for creating delicious...
Read moreReview: A Neapolitan Pizza with a Crunchy Twist
Last night, we had the pleasure of visiting an exceptional pizzeria—one that perfectly embodies the Neapolitan style while adding its own unique touch. The pizza: classic Neapolitan, yet with a distinct crust—not as soft and floppy as what you’d typically find in Naples, but with a light crispness that takes the experience to another level.
We tried the Pepperoni and the Four Cheese pizza, both of which were outstanding. The pepperoni had just the right balance of spice and smokiness, while the four-cheese pizza was a creamy, flavorful delight without being overpowering.
What impressed me most was the focused and minimalistic menu. No endless list of toppings or overloaded creations—just a selection that emphasizes what truly matters: top-quality ingredients, perfectly crafted dough, and expert preparation.
A big shoutout to the team—this is pizza made with true passion. If you're looking for one of the best Neapolitan-style pizzas with a satisfying crunch, this place is an...
Read moreI usually prefer to eat the local cuisine when I'm on vacation, and this time was no exception. After a week and a half in Vietnam, however, I happened to find this restaurant near my hotel and thought I'd treat myself to something familiar. And oh boy - I was not to be disappointed.
Where do I start? The sourdough is second to none. Not just in Phu Quoc or Vietnam, but also across Europe. I know of very few restaurants where you can get such high-quality sourdough. Fluffy, just the right amount of salt and perfect timing in terms of baking time and temperature.
The restaurant offers four pizzas, but you don't need more than one: the margherita. You can tell with every bite that the pizza chef has perfected this dish. Fresh basil and garnished with parmesan - a masterpiece.
The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and communicative. Food came within 15 minutes. It speaks for itself that we ate here two more times - and we didn't...
