Introduction: Our stay at this hotel was truly unique and unforgettable. While a few small details like grass trimming could use attention, they are easily overshadowed by the overall experience and charm of the place.
The Hosts: What truly sets this place apart is the incredible family that runs it. Despite facing their own challenges, they pour their hearts into every guest’s stay, going above and beyond to make you feel not just welcomed—but part of their family. Their kindness and dedication are deeply touching.
Facilities: The hotel provides a well-equipped communal kitchen, perfect if you enjoy cooking your own meals. Wi-Fi routers are placed smartly across the property, ensuring strong signal and fast internet even in a jungle setting. One note of caution: when booking trips via the hotel, transport is usually arranged—but the cost may only be mentioned the next day. It tends to be only slightly more expensive than Grab, so it’s a good idea to ask for the exact transport price beforehand to avoid surprises.
Location & Nature: The houses are nestled deep in the “jungle,” offering an atmospheric and immersive experience. As expected, nature brings its "companions"—the insects and other small animals—but we had no issues inside our room, which was clean and well-prepared.
Comfort & Essentials: All basic necessities were provided, and every effort was made to ensure our comfort and convenience, including bikes free of charge to explore the island.
Final Thoughts: If you're seeking an authentic experience away from the tourist traps, surrounded by nature and the warmth of genuinely kind people, this is the place. I wholeheartedly...
Read moreIt’s an amazing place and I highly recommend staying here, especially if you’re looking for a calm relaxing holiday far away from the crazy city life. What I especially liked: there are free bicycles in the hotel, and you can use one to go to the market / bus stop / beach. The beach is quite close (20 min of walking, 10 min by bicycle) and it’s really good, clean calm water, not many people, good infrastructure. Also, there’s a supermarket, market and a bus stop in like 5-10 min far. There are buses 17 and 19 that can take you to many places for free.
The owner of the place is amazing and always ready to help. The place itself is super clean, calm and beautiful. I loved waking up and going to the garden, seeing beautiful fruit trees and listening to nature at night. The swimming pool is warm (I guess there is some warming up system), which was also a good thing for me. In general, the place is chill, safe and it gives you vibes of staying at your grandma’s countryside house. The internet, electricity and water worked perfectly well.
Though I have to warn you about a few things - there are some dogs not far from the place, some of them are kinda agressive and scary, they can chase you and bark at you. My daughter got really scared. Though if you use a bike / bicycle it’s not a big deal. Also we saw a scorpion on the road to the bus stop, mosquitoes are crazy sometimes and they didn’t let us sleep properly for a night or two. Except that, everything was perfect, I’d definitely love...
Read moreNice and quiet place. It is a little worn down compared to the pictures online, but very beautiful place nevertheless.
They didin’t have breakfast despite having it included in booking.com. Apparently they had fired their chef or something? This was a little annoying as other restaurants are relatively far. The receptionist was very kind though and gave us an discount because of this. Hopefully they will fix this in booking.com.
Our room was not cleaned every night, which was disappointing. They said they only have 3 people working there which seems too little compared to the size of the place.
The location is fine, i.e. It’s nice and quiet but also a little far away if you want to visit ong lang for reataurants or the beach (especially as they didnt have their own restaurant, as we expected). They had some bicycles but they were always in use so we never got to use them. The walking distance is fine, but just something to be aware of.
Lastly, there were squirrels living inside our bungalows roof and they were quite loud during the night. As a result some of us didn’t sleep that well.
I think the place is very beautiful, the bungalows are comfortable, and it was very nice that it was full of fruit trees that guests are allowed to eat. But it seemed that the place isn’t taken care of that much.
Despite some of our negative experiences here I still enjoyed my stay and the place is nice if you just want a quiet bungalow a little farther away from the...
