This was our first visit to Phu Quoc and we wanted a quiet place to stay and this sounded perfect. It is located in Ong Lang which is one of the nicest beaches on the island.||||We booked a villa and a had a huge room with outside bathroom. The room was reasonably clean although it does look like the room service cleans on the surface as there was dust and hidden dirt where it would have required effort to move some furniture around.||||Breakfast is a poor effort though. The limited selection of hot food isn't labelled so how are we supposed to work out what we are eating? Plates of fruit are left uncovered with flies buzzing around and there are no cereals. Coffee cups are tiny and there is water and one fruit juice offered. Whilst there appears to be an option for prepared eggs we didn't want to disturb the member of staff who couldn't put down their phone.||||There's plenty of places to eat nearby and the beach is less than 10 minutes walk, follow the signs for Mango Bay. Ong Lang beach is pretty good, the beach is kept clean but the water isn't very clear and visibility is poor. Don't attempt any form of snorkelling here either.||||The hotel grounds are well kept and maintained and there is great pride in keeping the place looking presentable. The hotel also has two very cute dogs who are very friendly and did an excellent job scaring away a stray herd of cows that ventured into the grounds of the hotel.||||There was lots we liked about White Lotus that with a bit more attention to detail would make it excellent and it isn't massive changes that need to be made. Look after the housekeeping a bit better, up the breakfast offer with more choice and label the food; most of it is small quick fixes that would make a big difference.||||If you want a quiet place to stay on Phu Quoc this is great. Pretty location, nearby beach and shops and big comfy rooms. We found ourselves bored with Phu Quoc and without transport you are a bit stranded or pay for taxis or go on organised tours. It's an island that needs transport to get round and a simple regular bus service would...

Read moreFirst and foremost this hotel is an absolute dump. I am not sure how the ratings are so high - my theory is that either the reviews are old or fake.||||It is very loud - do not come here expecting peace and quiet. The air conditioners are old and rattly, the walls are thin and you hear all of the outside noise, and the whole site is surrounding by construction that starts 7 days a week at 7 AM. Additionally, the hotel is located at the juncture of 2 roads and there is a lot of traffic passing in front.||||It is not clean - the rooms are dirty, the sheets have seen better days, the towels have holes, and the rooms smell musty. ||||Yes, there are bicycles to ride to the beach, but they are so old that only half are usable and the other half only have barely usable brakes.||||The bathrooms are gross, dark, hot, and not well maintained. It also seems that every bathroom has an opening to an adjacent bathroom allowing you to hear your neighbor in the bathroom. The construction site also looks directly into some of the bathrooms. Don’t expect privacy!||||The breakfast is not good either. The pancakes are often undercooked and the coffee seems to be instant. ||||We unfortunately were stuck here for 7 days. We made the best of it by getting out of the hotel every morning as early as possible. ||||The people who work here are nice, which does redeem the hotel somewhat, but during our stay we saw at least 2 groups leave early due to the conditions. We spoke to several other guests who had a similar set of complaints. The price is at least low.||||Again, the other reviews are not legitimate. ...
