Phong Nha Friendly Home was an all-around amazing stay. Not only was the room very clean and spacious, but the amenities and kindness of our hosts exceeded all expectations.||||To start, we were picked up from downtown at 4 am after arriving via sleeper bus, and driven back to Friendly Home. Our host let us check into our room immediately, even though check-in wasn't supposed to be in until the afternoon. We were exhausted so it was great to be able to sleep!||||The breakfast was delicious! There were soups and pancakes, coffee, and fruit smoothies, all of which were included in the price. We weren't even expecting drinks to be included in the breakfast! There wasn't a limit on what time we had to eat breakfast, so on the first day, we definitely ate breakfast at lunchtime. ||||There were bicycles available for use, which made it very easy to get into town. It was a very quick ride to the boat tour dock for Phong Nha cave and the rest of the town center.||||Speaking of tours, our host helped us book adventure tours, and helped us arrange everything! They had books with descriptions of most of the adventure and non-adventure tours in Phong Nha.||||On top of all this, our host invited us to his daughter and son's birthday party, which was an amazing way to meet the local community and experience Vietnamese culture. We got to share tons of Vietnamese food and drinks with his family, which was such a unique experience for us! His 3-year-old son is seriously adorable, and once greeted us on our arrival back at Friendly home and "showed us" to our room. Although he wasn't quite sure which room was ours so he showed us to all of the rooms.||||The host went above and beyond at making us feel welcome and comfortable, and I can't think of a single thing that I would change about our stay. 11/10. Thank you...

Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE!!!! KICKED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH A 3 MONTHS YEAR OLD BABY. So here is our story: the host offered to pick us up from the bus, asked for the time of arrival and bus number. He was given all information and so we agreed. The bus was late (like they are often) and so after 6h drive we were 30min late. He was informed we will be late 2 hours before. However only after we texted we are waiting for him he refused to pick us up because it’s too late (it was 21:45), so we decided to have a quick dinner near the bus and take a grab, unfortunately in the small city there were no grabs available. After trying several times we decided to walk. It took us around 45 min to walk with 4 heavy big backpacks in 30 degrees. While also carrying the baby. At the arrival we told him that we are not happy how he misled us and we would not like to have any conversations now and just want to sleep. He started an argument with us and said that since we are already not happy, we are no longer welcome to stay there. We tried to friendly ask him to let us stay because we have such a small baby and it’s already so late that we can’t book anything else. However, the host didn’t care about any of that only was scared to get a bad review on booking, so he kicked us out to the street. WITH A 3 MONTHS OLD BABY! I highly recommend you to avoid this place and don’t support such degenerate and soulless...
