My first impression of this place, also the reasion that I chose this place, is their decoration. It gave me a modern European vibe which I did not expect much from Vung Tau.|The location of the hotel is in the center of the center in the middle of a convenient store and a milk-tea shop. Next to them is a seafood market which is also very interesting to try, and there are also many foods store nearby which is really good if you like to walk and discover. It will take you 5 minutes to walk to the front beach of Vung Tau, for me that's the most beautiful beach in here, but you should go in the morning because the sea will raise very high from the afternoon.|Somehow, I was kinda off when realized that some decoration like the books on the shelves are just fake cardboards. However, the biggest surprise that turned everything up again is the attitude of the receptionist, server, ...well ye they only have 2 men in a shift, but they will do everything for you. I was impressed by their kindness and helpful.|In the first day (Dec 16th), when we came to check-in early, they apologized and did really try to prepare a room ASAP, we enjoyed the welcome drink in the salon, looked at the employees and feel like they are always ready to help us. We had a lunch nearby and checked-in again 2 hours earlier than the given time (2 P.M).|In the next morning (Dec 17th), we had a "small" breakfast, it is really small because the variety of the foods on menu, we did expect a buffet morning, but didn't get it on the first morning, but in our last day (I don't know what their schedule yet). However, the quality of the foods is pretty nice, as a chef, I can guarantee this. I had a full-English breakfast with rich scrambled-egg, and my fiancée had a bowl of Pho. She really like it because it brought some reminiscent for her. While enjoying our breakfast, the server guy came to every table to ask if we already had a plan for the day yet, if not he would suggest some places that we could spend a visit.|The room here is clean and neat, they will clean your room twice a day and will provide anything you need (some will be charged). The bed is super fluffy and comfort, we slept like dead, I want to sleep more but we don't want to miss the breakfast. The sofa next to the bed is also very nice, you can be overslept on it. They also have a clean swimming pool in the 3rd floor and a pool table in the ground floor.|After all, I do enjoy and would love to stay at this place every time I come to Vung Tau. Maybe because this is not a big place, I can feel that the employees here really want to create a warm connection with every customer come with them, that's what I really love here.|Special thanks to all of the employees working from Dec 16th to Dec 18th for a wonderful care, especially Thái and Huy as they requested me to mentioned them, but I would like to mention everyone there if I can, they deserve it. Oh and there is a guy in the midnight shift on Dec 16th, we accidentally scare him twice, really sorry that haha.|I will recommend this place to everyone and love to return...
Read moreThis property has good confortable rooms at reasonable prices though be warned, they have rooms at the front (Road Side) which are newer while those behind the hotel are older and less attractive.||||They have a few levels to choose from and overall the newer rooms are well appointed and comfortable. They have limited foreign TV channels so you may get either BBC or CNN but not both. ||||The breakfast at the hotel is standard Vietnamese bad. The Pho is OK and they will cooks eggs for you but the buffet is worth a pass.||||Reception while usually polite and freindly are not at all efficient, so dont expect a fast check out and twice they have trouble with credit cards causing severe delays and inconvenience in settling a bill.||||For the lone males, this may not be your choice of hotel as we had a colleague who had management bang his door down at 2am early hours demanding a cash payment for a 'guest'. Not exactly professional nor welcome at that hour. The hotel is owned by a government Company so there is not flexibility so do;t expect a refund or discount if you get a a dud room which we did once and I mean a dud - No power, so no AC all nite, in a rather terrible room facing and ally. We have since been using other hotels. The way the staff cannot do anything to help is frustrating. This is fairly typical of...
Read moreThis place is about 5 minutes walk away from Grand Hotel. Please do not mistake this for Petro House which is about another 15 minutes walk away.||||Rooms are decent with pictures together with my review and it is on the 5th floor. The toilet seats comes with an remote control bidet and seat warmer! heh. Use your imagination.||||The front desk however insist that i bought my own adapter from them when i requested for an adapter loan.||||The hotel food was not up to mark, and you might be wondering why i tried anyway since there so much food places just outside the hotel. Well, firstly i was tired after a long day at work to walk out, and secondly there's plenty of bars i was trying to avoid just along the hotel.||||Please also do not mistake the square covered rattan basket for a shoe box or a place to stow something away items, as it is a laundry basket. I place an undergarment there for me to segregate dirty clothings, only to find it laundered the next day when i come back to work....
