Cô Ba Vũng Tàu – A Culinary Journey Through Traditional Vietnamese Flavors
Located in the heart of Vũng Tàu, Cô Ba Restaurant is a beloved culinary destination that offers an authentic taste of southern Vietnamese cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Both locals and travelers flock to this charming spot to enjoy a rich variety of home-style dishes, with a particular focus on traditional bánh khọt—mini savory pancakes that have become a signature of the region.
The restaurant’s decor blends rustic charm with Vietnamese cultural touches—think bamboo accents, clay pots, vintage memorabilia, and wooden furniture that creates a nostalgic and cozy setting. It's the kind of place where meals are unrushed, and the experience is just as important as the food.
Bánh khọt, served sizzling hot and topped with shrimp, green onion, and a crispy edge, are the undisputed highlight. They're served with fresh herbs, lettuce, pickled vegetables, and a light fish sauce for dipping—creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Beyond that, the menu includes a variety of southern specialties such as canh chua (sour soup), cá kho tộ (caramelized fish in clay pot), gỏi cuốn (fresh spring rolls), and many more.
Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, often eager to explain dishes or recommend favorites. The restaurant can get busy during peak hours, especially on weekends, so arriving early or reserving ahead is a good idea.
Whether you’re a food-loving traveler or simply in search of a delicious, down-to-earth meal, Cô Ba Vũng Tàu offers an unforgettable culinary experience rooted in tradition and flavor. A must-visit for anyone wanting to taste the soul of...
Read moreI recently visited Banh Khot Ba in Vung Tau, and it was a great experience. The location is easy to find, situated in a convenient area with plenty of parking nearby. The restaurant has a casual and welcoming atmosphere, making it a good place to enjoy local food.
Of course, their specialty is banh khot, and it did not disappoint. The crispy, golden cakes were fresh and flavorful, perfectly paired with fresh herbs and a tasty dipping sauce. However, what I really appreciated was the variety of dishes available. Besides banh khot, they offer a selection of other Vietnamese seafood dishes, which is great for those who want more options.
The service was quick, and the staff was friendly, although the restaurant can get quite busy, so there might be a short wait during peak hours. The only downside was that the seating area could be more spacious and comfortable.
Overall, Banh Khot Ba is a great choice for anyone looking to try authentic banh khot in Vung Tau. With its good location, tasty food, and variety of dishes, I would definitely recommend it and would love to...
Read moreLiked to try Banh Khot for the first time and choose this location depending on its ratings. According to the subject itself, it's really a fatty stuff. If you are not able to eat it by the traditional techniques but use any western style, it will end in a pretty mess. Nevertheless it tasted very good and your body can be cleaned in the restroom in the 1st floor, where soap is available. Next day you should be prepared for a diarrhea and shouldn't have any planned travel. If it is caused only by the horrible amount of fat or due to the unclean veggies (which is common for all restaurants in Vietnam) will remain the question. Talking about this with citizens, they recommended to eat this specialty preferred at Co Ba, because they fry with much less fat in comparison to all other...
