Reading the reviews, I was a bit wary of the service here. But at the end of the day, this is an ice cream shop so as long as the product is great, I can deal with less than service for 5 mins while I order my ice cream. And actually we found the service to be kind. Nothing special but definitely nothing bad. Prompt, efficient. We didn’t ask to try any flavors, but actually the girl offered us to try some. Ok the ice cream. It was DIVINE. Definitely some of the best ice cream of my life (and I’ve had excellent ice cream/gelato all over Europe). We had the calafate berry, tramontana, and Patagonian chocolate. They were all excellent, super creamy. The place itself is pretty touristy with a little gift shop in the back where you can buy Calafate specific touristy food souvenirs like a tea set, sampling of dulce de leches, etc)

One of the most delicious ice creams I have ever had. We had Patagonia chocolate, vino Malbec and arandanos (blueberry). I asked if it is el calafate type of blueberry which is famous here but they said no. The staff looks angry when you ask for something, maybe it is better not to communicate with them, just pick any ice cream without asking to try any of them. I know there are many different flavors, you are confused and want to try something new. But they don’t like to talk or help. It is strange and very bad service for that so good ice cream. I felt sorry for the icecream master behind. He is doing an amazing job but the people in the front ruins the experience.

Tried the helado here. Service was quick - pay first and then take your receipt to pick your flavours. We tried chocolate, almond, limon de Agua, and Calafate. Ice cream was good, but seemed overpriced to me. The "large" bowl was pretty small, and was essentially 2 small-regular scoops of ice cream for $3800. I was disappointed to be looked at with unwilling disdain when I asked for a taste test of one flavour. Lots of nice seating, tons of flavours available. So apart from being overpriced, we were fairly happy.

EXTREMELY RUDE staff and average ice cream. Avoid at all cost!!

The lady was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When we asked to sample the ice cream flavors, she was impatient and requested us to pay before trying any. We paid for a small cup that included two flavors and requested to sample two flavors. Unfortunately, both flavors we tried were too sweet.

When we asked about trying a third flavor, we were told that we could sample a maximum of two, despite having already paid. This is so unfair to customers, especially since our order only allowed for two flavors.

Additionally, her demeanor was off-putting; they sneered at us while handing over the testers. Ultimately, we chose the berry and chocolate flavors, but both were disappointingly average.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place unless you want to pay overpriced rates for mediocre ice cream and endure rude treatment from the staff.

We have been having a great experience in calafate EXCEPT...
