We recently took the El Calafate tour to Torres del Paine. It's an all day tour which involves a four hour drive -- each way -- from Calafate to the park. Unfortunately, and this can happen to anyone, our bus had a major transmission failure just 30 minutes prior to arriving at the park. We were totally bummed because we knew there were no repair facilities for a hundred miles or more. We even started to wonder if we might miss our flights on the following day. But no worries. Our guide, Silvestre, and our driver, Manual, were professionals. They used their satellite phone to notify their office of the problem. They had water on board and our bagged lunches which we ate while waiting for their action. They flagged down a competitor's bus which had room to take all of us on board so we could continue the park tour with Silvestre while Manual attended to the broken bus. After finishing the three hour tour, a Chile-based bus transferred us to an Argentinian bus which then took us back to El Calafate.
It was a glitch. It added an extra hour to our day. But it was handled as quickly as possible and in the most professional way. We would travel with them again any time.

Read moreI did every Booking over what's app, I never walked into to the office. I always got fast replies. My trip was wonderful just to short. But I would really recomend Glacier Tourism. The full day Glaciares Gourmet is out of this World. My trip to El Chalten was a bit dissapointing, but may be it was partly my fault. If you really want to enjoy Fitz Roy just use the transfer to El Chalten and walk the 8km one way round trip your self. However, the guide we had on this trip, sorry I don't remember her name, she was excellent. I had the trip in Spanish, her Knowledge of the area, faun and flora, is exceptional. The way she conducts the tour is also amazing. I think she did and excellent job. I would also like to thank the drivers on all trips and the remis for their friendliness and safe driving. I hope to come back soon. There is so much to still see. And the little town of El Calafate has lovely places to eat. Thanks for the world...
