We booked for 6pm. We wanted a quick in and out dinner. Asked for a quiet table. Took us 2 hours to get fed. We left a lot of our food. Seemed ok when we arrived. But after ordering they set up a table with a baby chair right beside us. We asked to move outside which they did for us. Then we waited 40 minutes for our entree and another hour for our main. Food was ordinary. Potatoes and spinach cold. Daal makhani watery. Food came one at a time. Finished off with peshwari naan. We had already finished our bottle of wine and our food when that arrived. A couple who arrive 45 minutes after us left fed, way before we had our main, in spite of us hassling staff for our food. We had ordered vegetarian food. They ordered butte chicken. All the time take away was being pumped out non stop. But no food for us. Give this place a miss. Mediocre apology when we paid full price for an ordinary dinner. Plenty of better food...
Read moreDisappointing yet again ! We have had some good meals in the past but meals have steadily gone downhill. Second time in a row the main dishes have had next to no ingredients or flavour the meat has been tough and swimming in oil, the rice has been hard and only white rice available. Second time in a row the main dishes have had next to no ingredients, the meat has been tough and the rice has been hard and stale. Coconut Seafood Treasure used to be a great dish; the last time we got a single piece of fish & a single prawn. The meat in the lamb korma & the beef madrasi was super tough & indistinguishable - could have been anything in the sauce. Sauces tasted like a jar from a supermarket and the basmati rice was simply hard and awful.
We hoped it was a hiccup as we are local and have supported Indika since it first opened but we won’t be back and won’t be recommending to any friends. Shame; their food used to be great. Not sure...
