I was very perplexed on which Camel tour to use in Broome (there was more than one option), so I diligently read others reviews. I easily worked my way down to 2 companies, based on the reviews, then actually finally choose Broome Camel Safaris (blue camels) because of the reviews and the company's response to reviews (even a negative review) and I am really happy I did. People are not going to always be perfect (we are all human), but we can always learn, forgive and offer grace to one another. Alison responses to one such review I found very kind and gracious...and that stayed with me. I also chose Alison as she was the first and original Camel lady, and she seem to have an genuine heart and care for the camels. They also were very cost effective and, at the time I went also offered a free pair of pearl earings to the ladies. Alison and her team were prompt, kind, friendly and very accommodating with photo taking (always asking if we wanted them to take photos of us at various times throughout the ride). We had a camel called Amos, who was initially having a stubborn camel moment... Which animals can have moods too 😊However, Rather than reprimand, hurt or punish the camel, Alison and her team gently and calmly unhooked Amos the camel, walked him on separately, calmly spoke with him to comfort him, patted him and them gave him some carrots. Then reattached him to the line and off we went with no issues at all. Alison and her team actually very much care for the camels and it is very obvious and evident in his the talk to and treat them. The ride itself.... Was absolutely Wonderful. They have a platform to mount the camels making it comfortable and easy access. The ride was relaxing and rythmatical (made up word to explain the forward and back camel sitting motion). We did the sunset tour and the timing was perfect with the sun setting on the way back and was magical. The beach and scenery were beautiful, especially the sun set. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and I firmly believe that if someone is doing a good job, you should let them know.... So, thanks to Broome Camel safaris (blue camels), Alison and your team... You did a great job and we really enjoyed...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of enjoying a camel ride with my dad through Alison's company, and it was an unforgettable experience. Despite reading some negative reviews from a few years ago, I was so pleased by the warmth and friendliness of Alison and her staff.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and even a little gift. Alison herself was incredibly friendly, making us feel comfortable and excited about the adventure ahead. Her staff mirrored her kindness, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and at ease.
The camel ride itself was nothing short of magical. We went along the gorgeous coast of cable beach, guided by knowledgeable handlers who made sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves every step of the way. The camels were well-cared for and seemed content, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. We loved hearing about each camel and their unique personalities.
What stood out most was the personal touch Alison and her team brought to the excursion. They took the time to engage with each guest, sharing stories and insights about the camels and local community, adding depth to the journey. They made sure to take some amazing photos too!
Overall, my dad and I had a fantastic time with Alison's company. The negative reviews from the past were nowhere to be found in our experience. Instead, we were met with warmth, kindness, and professionalism. I highly recommend Alison's camel ride company to anyone looking for an authentic and...
Read moreThe grumpy old lady at the beach at the start of the tour was so rude insisting we had booked but not paid - there were 5 of us. She made a scene about it embarrassing me in front of everyone expecting me to log into my bank to show proof of payment. I could not get reception on my phone and told her I would go back to my villa after the tour and bring back the paperwork to show that I had paid. She reluctantly accepted that, but continued to be stand offish with us, not being very helpful with the stirrups (they were too long) and snapped at me when I asked if my friend (who was riding on her own) could go on the camel in between us, she refused and snapped back "I put her on there for a reason!". When I went back to my villa where I had reception I emailed a copy of my eft transaction showing I had in fact pre paid (I wasn't walking all that way back again, especially after her being so rude), I haven't received a response let alone an apology. Very unprofessional! I would not recommend the blue camels -...
