It’s such a shame that this restaurant is representing Cable Beach. My group and I went there for dinner and we have never received such poor service. It’s clear that this restaurant has the Monopoly of the location and therefore feel as though they can be rude, unpleasant to deal with and charge a premium for their food and drink. If your hungry don’t bother visiting... our steaks were so small we may as well have ordered a kids meal and we probably would have been fed more food. The manager and waitstaff also made us feel as though we were a joke with one staff member very openly laughing at us and smirking as she placed the tiny $41 steak on our table. The soft drinks were flat. There prices are different to whats advertised on their website and Facebook. The Calamari was like chewing through rubber. The selection of food is extremely limited already and 3/4 of the menu was not available or sold out, leaving us with options of either steak, $10 garden salad, calamari and pizza. The oysters were only available if you order the seafood platter and we were told we couldn’t get an individual serve of them even though they are written on the menu to buy individually. When I questioned why you can receive the oysters on the seafood platter and not as an entree (even though it clearly states on there menu that they are sold as an entree) the blonde lady claiming to be the ‘manager’ kept pointing at the menu and letting me know that they are saving them for the $125 seafood platter only and that she wouldn’t sell them to me as an entree regardless of them being on the menu and available. Between my group of 4 we spent around $550 and can’t believe how we were treated. It’s clear that unless your a Kardashian or the whose who of Broome they don’t care about treating you kindly and fairly. We were extremely disappointed and we were all happy to just get out of the restaurant and go home. Would not recommend and definitely won’t...

Paid $45 for 4 x “Steak Specials” including Entree to share and drinks on a Friday night and we asked for all of the steaks to be cooked Medium Rare. Total bill was approx. $250. Restaurant was unusually quiet with only 2-3 other tables seated. When served, 3/4 of the steaks were cooked rare and the portion of steak vs. salad and chips was different on each plate. Had to approach staff for steaks to be placed back on the grill and the attitude was rude and unfriendly. No apology at this point, just an arrogant “I believe you” when we showed the rare steak on the plate! Steaks were placed back on the grill and served back to the table, no effort was made to assist with which steak belonged to who and so we just had to figure it out. Salad was also missing from 2/3 of the plate’s after they were returned, interesting how that happened! After all that effort the steaks were still cooked rare even after the 2nd time. We weren’t going to bother with asking a 3rd time and no follow up was made by staff to check that the issues were rectified. We finished our meal and asked the waiter who was collecting our plates for the Manager to discuss our experience. We were told they were the Manager so we outlined all of the issues. Apology was given but no effort or attempt was made with customer recovery. We understand mistakes happen but it was quite clear from the Managers attitude that there was no desire to remedy our disappointing experience. We are long-term Broome locals and Zanders has been our go-to venue for taking out friends and family who are visiting Broome. Never coming back here again, disappointing food...

HORRIBLE customer service. Went there on Tuesday as we were on a cruise trip. I ordered a mango smoothie which was supposed to be $8 (the menu IN FRONT OF the counter was saying this amount) and I got charged $10. I asked the guy why I was overcharged and he did not know the reason, which is fine, he seemed to be new staff. I asked for $2 refund as the menu says a different price. Very fair, right? Anyway, he went to talk to a bold guy, apparently the manager, who came in an attitude and said straight to me "it is $10, we changed the price, you don't wanna your smoothie anymore?" and he was basically giving my refund already. I said I wanted to. Then he almost kicked me out of the queue and ignored me. Plus, they forgot to change the price in the menu that was in front of the counter (the most important one), he grabbed a pen and changed it in front of me. He never said sorry about the mistake, he did not suggest refund about the overcharging either. It was an embarrassing situation and all of the people behind me was from the cruise as we were doing a tour. They came to me after and asked why he had this attitude. It is not about two dollars, it is about what is right and also about respect and managers duties. If this bold guy it is the manager, I am so sorry for the owner, but you will definitely lose lots...

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Zander’s. Staff were amazingly helpful and understanding. Drinks were lovely and meals were great! Only odd part was the guy who took my booking argued with me on the phone saying he can’t take a booking for 7 has to be 8. That was really crazy. I’ve not ever - ever, experienced this. Even with high end dining. When I entered there was plenty of people who were couples or small groups that clearly were not tables of 8. Odd numbered in fact. It was wild. I didn’t appreciate it at all. It’s easier if Zander’s just book 8 spaces if it’s a Zander’s thing rather then argue with its customers. They wouldn’t explain why. It didn’t make sense. It made me concerned for my booking. You should stop that. I almost cancelled my booking over this stupidity. When we got there the amount of table and chairs wasn’t even right for our booking. Meals and drinks are ordered and paid for at the bar. We were able to watch the amazing sunset as we ate our meals and drank our drinks. Location is amazing. Wheelchair and mobility challenged accessible which is great. Food was cooked lovely, had flavour and was reasonably priced. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed them selves. Highly recommend this one on your list to visit. Thanks for having us Zander’s, till next time!

I don’t often write a bad review as I do know from experience that you can have a bad night however I feel this is needed. We have been in Broome for a week and visited the Cable Beach House 3 times. First for breakfast which was quite good. Second for sunset drinks which was bearable considering the volume of people around. Thirdly for dinner. What you are not told is that most of the Cable Beach access is now closed for redevelopment and the restaurant is surrounded by construction fencing. The sunset visit not too bad but tonight, after requesting and receiving and outdoor table, we were welcomed by 7 foot fencing now covered in black mesh. No view here. Service was also lacking and some ordered food not delivered. It wasn’t even on the bill at the end so the requested order not even processed. What food we got was ok but not any to write home about. It took 3 different beer orders to final get one they had. If you want good food and service go to the brewery down the road. No view but there isn’t any at the beach house either. Also the service provided appeared to improve if you originated from the home country of the waiters on duty.
