The Millie cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

REALLY DESAPOINTING.

I used to come to this cafe for 2 years, and it was for me the best one in town. Local place, great quality and service, copious breakfast.. and cheap. Only 16 dollars for egg benedicts + 5 dollars for any extra bacon or salmon.

I couldn't wait for this place to open back after the wet season, but today I came back for the first time of the year and it changed a lot.

The service is still nice, but the quality is no longer there. They increased their prices, now 20$ for the same dish + 5$ for the extra bacon or salmon but the quantities are way smaller, the big bread slice has been replaced by an English muffin, a little piece of salmon, and bit of sauce. In other words, for 25$ you get half of the quantity than before.

Conclusion, would be lovely to go back to the previous quality, otherwise many local people would be disappointed as me and...

Firstly the staff behind the counter and waitresses have been great and I can’t fault their service. The stars that this place gets are for them.

I had been coming to this cafe every few days and was enjoying the service, food and coffee. Today I had finished my food and coffee, and was finishing work on my laptop.

Within a few minutes I was approached by an older staff member who I hadn’t seen before and asked how long I planned to sit there for as they wanted to use the table. There were plenty of free tables and not enough people to fill them. She was trying to come across as diplomatic but was really coming across as we don’t want you here.

I hadn’t been there for long, maybe only 10-15 minutes since my coffee and food were delivered. It’s a shame, it’s left a really bad impression for me. But, the old lady can have her way and I will...

Oh wow we (my self and my Husband Steve) loved this Cafe and had Brekkie there every morning of the four days we stayed in Broome for our recent ten year wedding anniversary. We had something different every morning and we’re very very impressed with each meal over the four days. The staff are amazing and the gorgeous owner Dolly went above and beyond even taking the time to sit and chat with us and give us many tips on local tourist attractions of which we attended and loved. What a beautiful person she is.
