Kichi Kichi — Restaurant in Western Australia

We booked this place when we were on holiday. It was our wedding anniversary, which I made very clear when booking.

We arrived and were shown to a table right next to a family with 3 young children who were making alot of noise. We asked if we could move but were told that the table a bit further away was booked. We had reserved months in advance.

No mention of our anniversary.

We ordered our own version of the tasting menu as we were told we couldn't swap one element out. We told them we liked our food spicy.

The Feed Me Menu was lovely. The first 3 entrees were not gluten free and I was unable to substitute anything else on the menu which was quite frustrating, as there were other options that were available. So we ordered another gluten free entree in place of the 3 that were not - which meant we had to pay on top of the $98 pp. If you are gluten free like me- I wouldn’t order any extra meals - as the portions are quite large. My husband has no allergies and was struggling to finish it all. The service was fabulous and the food was great - just felt they could have easily found a solution and be a bit more flexible for my gluten free...

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Gina and she truly went above and beyond for us. Not only was she attentive and friendly throughout the night but she also stood up for us in a situation where we really needed support. Gina handled everything with so much professionalism, confidence and kindness and it made us feel completely looked after.

It is rare to come across someone in hospitality who genuinely cares the way she does. Gina turned what could have been a stressful experience into a positive one and we are so grateful. She is a credit to the team and the reason we will definitely be coming...
