I’ve been seeing Dr Fiona McGrath for many years now, & so have my siblings. In my thirty years of life, I can say with sincerity, that I have never had a doctor as compassionate & knowledgeable as Dr Fiona McGrath. She listens with intent, analytical consideration, & kindness… & she never rushes me out the door. After seven years of debilitating hospital trips, where doctors & surgeons couldn’t give me answers, but rather, medicated me in the moment & sent me out the door… Dr Fiona McGrath was the first doctor to take the time to support me in the diagnosis of my autoimmune disorder. With this accurate diagnosis; she & I have been able to manage & understand my autoimmune disorder so that I can live a life in a healthy body - - which is something I never thought was possible until that moment. In 2022, I had an identity crisis, questioning my family-way, & thought “maybe I should see a doctor that my family doesn’t see”. - I sort out three different doctors at different practices & came to the realisation & conclusion that; Dr Fiona McGrath is a one-of-a-kind angel doctor that cares & treats like no other. Now, in 2023, I have come back to Dr Fiona McGrath, & she listens & respects my mind, my body & my opinions. At times where I have needed to see a last minute doctor, & Dr Fiona has not been there, I have consulted with another doctor from James St Medical; Dr Michael Ostapovitch. I’ve found Dr Michael Ostapovitch to be just as kind & supportive as Dr Fiona. Dr Michael Ostapovitch had been as honestly informative & helpful & had given great advice to tie my troubles over until I could see Dr Fiona again. I could not recommend these doctors & this doctor’s practice enough. So if you’re looking for practitioners who care, respect & consider you, from my experience, James St Medical is the place to be. & I’ll also add that the reception staff are just a kind & sweet when liaising with them, & whenever I walk into the practice the reception staff are...

Do not come here for an appointment if you require anything that cannot be fixed with a pill or vaccination as if you are unfortunate enough to find yourself with Dr Neil Thakrar, you will end up (all these are first hand experiences btw)

in a multi-hour wait in emergency ward at his request(!) armed with an envelope (with no further info for the patient) with "treatment" requested to be scolded by an intern for hoping for treatments he had no place requesting (emergency don't call neurologists buddy and you should but clearly didn't know this, the intern did!)

fobbed off to an irrelevant ENT specialist to be told nothing useful ("give it time mate" - that'll be $300 btw) and no follow up.

or eventually told that it is checks notes a heart issue when, even to a layman who cannot walk even vaguely normally and has a very obvious high pressure auditory issue, that is cannot be the case - and having now spent thousands going to private specialists who ignored "Dr" Thakrar's gaslighting, is now being dealt with by actual spinal and neurological specialists, in part undoing the work "Dr" Thakrar ignored for over a year despite my pleading.

Mr Thakrar should consider himself fortunate to not be sanctioned...

MONEY GRAB

Booked in with an issue and told to go get blood tests. Get the blood test results message that it’s not urgent and to make another appointment. Receptionist couldn’t help me with this and put me through to a nurse that had to do the receptionist job of just booking an appointment. The nurse obviously could see my results and said I don’t think you will be charged for this appointment. I then have to call the practice for the appointment as it was 15min late and I was on a break from work I had specifically sorted for the appointment for then to be told all my results came back fine and charged me for the appointment! The doctor banged on about nothing I could have saved all the time and money by a simple message saying bloods are fine. Seems like a money grab and still have the issue I went in about before I wasted my time...
