I don’t live in Brisbane, but every time I visit, I make a point to stop by for coffee — either here or at your other location, piccolo by him.

However, I’ve recently found the staff at this location to be noticeably less welcoming and, at times, quite rude.

I arrived 15 minutes before closing and placed a coffee order. If staff are unable to take orders close to closing time, it should be clearly stated.

In this case, coffee was still being served up until closing, and I placed my order accordingly.

When I gave my name at the counter, the staff member responded in a noticeably unfriendly and dismissive tone.

The barista, however, was polite and kind.

While I initially assumed the unwelcoming attitude might have been due to end-of-day busyness, I noticed staff were simply standing around, eating, and waiting for 3:00 PM to strike.

There didn’t seem to be any real rush, just a lack of willingness to serve someone who came in shortly before closing.

If customers arriving near closing time are not welcome, perhaps the hours for ordering coffee should be revised.

I’ve always enjoyed your coffee and have appreciated the experience in the past, but this recent visit left me feeling disappointed and unsure whether...

Came to Piccolo by her on 4 Dec 2022. It was just an amazing experience for me:

1 Easy to access So near the Fortitude Valley station! Less than 5 mins

2 Good Variety of beans From almost all the continents, even sourcing from Indonesia!

3 Food Their food feeds the soul~ had the sausage egg muffin— after all the coffees I had that day, I was just starving. And the muffin was simple but such good comfort for the soul, yummy wholesome sauces. Homely tastes in a nice place

And the pricing is reasonable too.

4 BEST OF ALL—Excellent, personal service I’m still a novice with Coffee so I have to ask for advice. Their entire team is patient, open, friendly.

They close at 3.30pm for Sunday; I came late at 345pm and they entertained a late order. Didn’t rush out the other guests too, still kept chill and very warm vibes waiting for us to leave

And i asked about their day—it was packed for them from the start! I was last tuition leave and still with full patience

My first time exploring Brisbane and the coffee scene at Fortitude valley—Piccolo by her/Campos will now also be my first place to visit when I’m back

VERY AMAZED & also VERY TOUCHED by your service from the heart—WELL DONE, team...

I would like to start by saying that the coffee was good. However, the service left a lot to be desired. I was served by a young woman, short hair and her hair was coloured I think, maroon/red but I do not recall. She also had a large double chin. She was very rude towards me and used an unpleasant tone. I thought nothing of it, we all have bad days. But then the coworker I was with, that is a woman, got immediately served after I did and this server was as pleasant as ever, chirpy and seemed lovely. My other coworker who saw both interactions also commented on how rude she was to me and how pleasant she was to my female coworker. For this reason I will not be coming back as other places around also serve good coffee. I would not recommend this place, especially...

EDIT: is this a joke? You now use at least 20x more tape. My entire cup stinks like chemicals. I changed my 5 stars to 1 star. EDIT2: If you think that I'm sensitive to tape smells, I invite you to order a coffee from this place. Have a smell yourself. I looked at your reviews and I'm not the only one complaining about it. It's like I'm sniffing glue when I take a sip. -- The tape you use to cover the coffee lids leaves a very unpleasant odour when removed. Please use different tape to secure coffee deliveries. Aside from that, I absolutely love your work!

We work local to a new complex in Newstead and found this little but cosy cafe. At first we thought it's like a Hole in a wall concept but it's actually a proper cafe with nice variety of fresh food, good music and Campos coffee (our favourite) Here's the generous Smashed Avo with Dukka in sourdough as my breakfast. Will definitely coming back and would recommend to family and friends.

Coffee was really good. I had a take away but it’s a nice little place and I will eat in next time. Team were friendly and efficient. The inside was not was I was expecting, it’s quirky and they have a good range of beans for sale and even sell Chemex if you want to brew at home and don’t have an aeropress. Food looks like good value but I haven’t tried it yet.
