The Running Company Newstead — Local services in Brisbane City

Hi there. I had some recent calf injuries, so the podiatrist was suggesting that I change my running shoes. I had previously purchased my Brooks Ghosts at The Running Company's Mooloolaba shop, so I was pleased to learn that there was now a Newstead shop which was just a 10 minute drive from home. There is parking outside the shop which is easy to find. I had called ahead to make sure that I didn't need an appointment. I was met by Ethan (I think or maybe Sam?). I had recommendations from the podiatrist. I tried on several pairs of shoes. I was able to test them with a short run in the shop before making a decision and finally a purchase. Also I was allowed to try on two (2) pairs of the "carbon plate" running shoes and test them, which was an interesting experience. I am very happy with the Saucony Hurricane shoes that I purchased. I have suffered no further injuries. I am working on improving my fitness and times which is challenging in the hot and humid weather. I walked intro The Running Company Newstead looking for a new pair of running shoes. Previously only bought shoes from the big retailers. I was greeted by Ethan who explained their process and before long I was on the treadmill with Ethan analysing my foot movement. He took video and was able to clearly explain what was happening with my feet and ankles during each stride. After questioning my running history and routine and understanding my knee issues he brought out a range of shoes. We went through the same treadmill process with clear video evidence of what was happening in each shoe, paired with how they felt settled on the right shoe for me. First run on my new shoes and I dropped 28s/km.

I have since taken in a friend to go through the same process with Ethan and they were equally as impressed.
