The donuts at Dough Ma are $4 each or 6 for $18. With so many options available, the 6-pack makes for an enticing option so you can try a few different ones. Flavours I've tried so far: nutella cheesecake pistachio custard OG jam donut (filled with jam) cinnamon donut (not filled) passionfruit cheesecake fresh cream & jam tiramisu durian Vietnamese iced coffee lemon fresh cream
TBH I wasn’t won over with the first batch I tried on opening day - some of the flavours either tasted too artificial or were too subtle, and I mostly found the ratio of cream to donut to be too high.
But I went back for another try when they introduced the durian flavour. Even though that took quite some effort, I’m glad I had the time to wait around / do other things nearby in the meantime, for I was eventually rewarded with this nice pairing a of a soft, light donut, with a durian cream. The durian flavour wasn't too strong, but there was no mistaking it was there. I had only sampled the other flavours up to this point by eating around 1/4 of a donut each time, but happily devoured the entire durian donut in one go.
I like that there are specials such as the durian flavoured donut from time to time. Pretty keen to try other specials I've seen such as the crème brulee and apple crumble flavours. I'll be keeping an eye out on their socials for other upcoming flavours too - who knows what might...
Read morehmmmm… i had quite high expectations for Dough Ma as soooo many people hyped up over them and i had been waiting to try them, and when i did, i was quite disappointed🥺🥲
we got their box of 6 for $18, thought it was such a great deal in the beginning but then🥴they looked AMAZING but taste and smell wise🤭🥴we got two lotus biscoff, one apple crumble, one fresh cream and two fresh cream with nutella~ from the moment i opened the box, i was hit with a yeasty smell, i don’t know about you, nor am i an avid donut eater but, i don’t think they are supposed to smell so strongly of yeast??… it was very off putting unfortunately
i was excited for the lotus biscoff because i thought anything with biscoff can’t go too wrong, there was basically no biscoff in this apart from the biscuit on top and a hint in the cream, quite disappointing, the donut itself wasn’t really nice either, i don’t know if it was this batch or something but if every one of their donuts have this much yeast soury smell and taste, i don’t really know who would like them🥲
every other donut was basically the same, kinda flavourless and very yeasty, donut wasn’t really soft either. service and staff were absolutely lovely, but i won’t be coming back again...
Read moreVisiting Dough Ma is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Easily my favourite donuts. All the great choices can be overwhelming for a 5 year old who is dropping by for an after school treat.
I asked for some serviettes because it was likely to get a bit messy (we asked for three). The older woman at the shopfront was very vocally rude to her coworker, saying not to give us too many because “they can’t buy”. There was also a bit of miscommunication between the donut we wanted and the one we got in our box. This is hard for 5 year olds to understand sometimes. We let them know as soon as we noticed (as soon as we opened the box less then a minute after receiving it). Again the owner was very loud and vocal that we “changed our mind” but reluctantly swapped for what we originally thought we were getting.
Yelling at co-workers and customers just puts a damper on stopping for nice...
