Robina Town Centre has lost compassion for it's elderly patrons and anyone suffering health issues. I have witnessed a clear lack of concern for humanity in this shopping centre and I need to speak up.

I shop at this centre regularly because it's local for me. But I much prefer Pacific Fair Shopping Centre because it reflects compassion for its patrons by offering plenty of seating in different welcoming environments throughout the centre.

Robina on the other hand has taken its seating away from many of its public areas. And much of the limited seating on offer is uninviting and unkind on peoples bodies particularly the elderly or anyone suffering with health issues. I have been at Robina on a busy day at lunch time and there's no seating left to just have a break from shopping. I have seen elderly people and even younger people desperate to find a seat. Even staff that come out for a break have no where to sit.

Most people will need to sit down but there are some people who will be effected more than others if this is not possible. But it's not just seating availability it is about having spaces that are thoughtful towards peoples needs. Think about shoppers who may struggle with some social anxiety or just become fatigued by a busy stressful experience and need some peace. These people need quiet places, areas they can sit alone, not in coffee shops or food courts that are usually packed at lunch time. But sadly such places no longer exist in Robina Shopping Centre... although they did once, and all of that seating has now been removed. Why is the question?

People can choose to shop online but that keeps the elderly and people already suffering mental or physical health issues ISOLATED and this compounds already existing problems for people. Robina Shopping Centre Management you need to grow a conscience and be a part of the solution in our community not the problem!

In a world that throws more and more challenges up for people to deal with we need compassion not more pain!

People first before profit!

Yours...

Sooo love Robina. Always surprising us. We live over the border in NSW and visit Robina when we can and have been going for about 8yrs. This last visit found yummy Breadtop and and Asian Market place over near Coles.. haven't seen Breadtop in years so was great suprise. This side of Robina will be our new favourite.. highly recommend visiting.

Edit: 14th Sept 2024... haven't been since Jan. An our brief visit was disappointing.. starbucks left. Driving straight from Lismore NSW.. we would park up top above David Jones and then it's a lovely walk outside, quick stop to take pics of down stairs of the lake.. an then into starbucks an down to eatery an toilet. But today.. was a shock. Shops boarded up, no starbucks and straight away see 3 security guards.. made us feel uneasy.. eatery while looks great, I was saddened by the state of the benches, torn an worn many down to fabric underneath, not hygienic at all.. only good thing was the food.. In-a-bowl and Brisket... soo good. Bought a bag of food from each place to bring home. After the first encounters upstairs. Was not encouraged to go venturing any further.. I am sad as Robina is our family go to and happy place. Yes is 1hr an half away, but it is do able.. due to this experience I have dropped the 5 stars to 3. I live in hope that the quality of eatery benches will be improved, especially for hygiene

Edit.. 5th April 2025

After a long drive back to Lismore, Robina was a warm, welcomed stop. Firstly, what's happening with the escalators still out M level above woolies. Our daughter hates lifts, and that is the only option on that parking level.. last visit was like that too. That's on me for parking there. Secondly, well done Robina.. love the new seat covers in the eatery.. the colour pops. Material not too slippery or sticky.. an looks to be easy wipe for cleaning for staff. Which at the time we arrived late afternoon. Eatery was...

I love to say never back to this branch Woolworths in the Robina Town shopping Kitchen I had two extremely bad experience to shop here The staffs are so rude and so demanding Once they put the wrong price on the Vegetables They refused to sell ,is ok if you explained to me what was going on,but the girl call another young lady came to me and yell to me straight and keep fighting with me, because I was late to work ,.I just left Second time ,I just simple ask for a paper receipt for my business before the cashier lady finish scanning my shopping s,, the lady was wearing unhappy face to say ,do it in your computer I said I don't have computer, then she said but you have your phone,I still answer I love a paper receipt please ,so keep repeat many time she ask me do you have a phone, just do it there At last I said I still only want a paper receipt for my business and I don't have a printer, why she made a easy thing to be so complicated I almost go to Woolworths shopping daily every one day for my business groceries ,compare with the cashier staffs in Helensvale Westfield and Oxenford Woolworths The staffs are almost beautiful polite and love to help, all the time I ask for a paper receipt nearly finish scanning all shopping They always told me ok,no problem ,very nice and Friendly, beautiful customer service I got no idea a big supermarket in a very busy shopping heart, how come they let their staffs are working so rude They may be too busy or working for just a wages, don't care what is customer service I don't come back this shop, better to another Woolworths upstairs near the old food court, the staffs...

The interior design of this shopping centre is exquisite but also quite massive and complex that I can’t even find where the Apple Store is, which is next to the LEGO store and opposite to the H&M, and it’s the only Apple Store in Gold Coast. There are also 2 different food courts here just like Pacific Fair, the circular one with fast food restaurants is to the north and near BIG W; on the contrary, the other one with Woolworths is called The Kitchen and to the south. Moreover, The Promenade, where all the mid-range bars and restaurants are in the shopping centre, is on the lower ground floor. There is a tiny entrance with escalators downwards to The Promenade to the north of the circular food court. Speaking of the transportation, the bus stop is to the WEST of the mall and its location seems kinda remote but if you want to visit here by translink (Queensland public transportation), the best way to come is via the G Link tram from the station nearest to your hotel to Broadbeach South and transfer to 750 bus, which can take you straight to here. The same goes for the return journey except for the directions and I suggest you buy a Go Card (It can be topped up with the machines at all tram stations and is accepted by all buses, airtrain, and G Link tram). Besides, the shopping centre is also fairly abundant in parking spaces but it still can be crowded sometimes, especially in the shopping days (Thursdays).

I visited Robina Town Centre yesterday (02/12/2023) to do a shift with the Lego Store (I am based in Brisbane) and what an awesome experience I had with the Lego staff (Summer, Jack and Callan), public shoppers plus with the Customer Service Reps. I was welcomed nicely by the Lego staff and enjoyed the shift with them. Later in the day during my break, I visited one of the restrooms and stupid me, I left my iPhone in one of the cubicles. I rushed quickly to the customer service desk to report my lost phone and the reps were nice enough to try and contact my phone and at the same time they collected my details. Luckily these beautiful shoppers found it and were waiting for me to call my phone again due to the fact that it was on silent when the Customer Service representative tried calling it earlier. The ladies (shoppers) were so friendly when I approached them. Thanks so much to all of you for making my day and visit worthwhile and I truly hope your act of kindness is rewarded in some way. I wish you all too a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!! xo
