Ming Mei Asian Supermarket — Local services in Gold Coast City

Not very impressed with the Roast duck I purchased at this Chinese restaurant’ I am originally from the Northside of Brisbane and I would regularly purchase a 1/2 or a full Roast Duck from the Golden BBQ restaurant at 157 Wickham Street in the Valley’ approximately once a fortnight and sometimes more ! And to compare the Golden BBQ’s Roast Duck to this restaurant’s Roast Duck is on another level completely’ this restaurants Roast Duck is nowhere near the 5 star quality of the Golden BBQ’s Roast Duck! This restaurant I give a 2 star and that’s being nice to them ! Can anyone help me with where on the Gold Coast I can buy the 5star Roast Duck ? Will never go back here. Staff were extremely rude, argumentative and would not listen to what we had to say. We purchased 2 drinks and a bag of lollies. We tried to eat a Lollie and it was so hard we had to spit it out for fear of cracking our teeth. We then saw the use by date on the packet was 4 months earlier. We went back to the store to advise and explain, and were met with argumentative, rude staff who advised that as there was no mould or dirt in the packet that they were fine. The staff said that the lollies tasting “different to normal” did not mean there was something wrong with them. We have eaten these lollies many times before from other store, and they are meant to be soft and chewy, not rock hard. Do not shop at...

Where do I even begin? Ming Mei is top notch incredible!! I seriously can’t speak more highly enough of it. The family and I love this place, we only ever eat here whenever we come visit Robina Town Centre (unless we - more often than not, accidentally - come on a day when they’re shut, of course, then we have to look elsewhere). Staff are amazing, friendly people. We come by often enough to the point they give us free chilli sauce 😊 They also always recognise us!
