Club W — Local services in Melbourne

I want to give a zero star but google doesn’t allow me to. This is the worst club l’ve even been in Melbourne. The staff just can’t talk properly and politely.

First we come with a bunch of friends (boys and girls), then after the girls are in the boys got stopped and harassed by letting them wait so long and checking their bags way more seriously which is super unnecessary. Literally it’s just our work laptop in the boys bag. The security is incredibly rude to the boys and we told them we will leave if you let the boys wait forever then the security started to check the boys bag in an uncomfortable manner. The most interesting part is we were forced to get a locker for $20 and then there was literally NO ONE on the dance floor. We are the ONLY GUEST by that time (12:30am) but it didn’t make them treat us better. :( It was not fun so we decided to leave then we thought if we could get the locker fee refunded( we just used it for 5min and it was forced ). Okayyy soo… I didn’t actually manage to get into place due to a certain, very strange reason. I was in line with 3 of my friends, waited for about 15 minutes until a security guard came up to us and told us we needed to make a booking. I asked other people in line if they had made a booking and they said no. I then left the line, spoke to the seccy and asked why other people could get in without a booking and he lied to us. I told him that no one else had made one in line and why we were singled out. He then aggressively insisted we enter the bar, to which I declined as I assumed he would bash us on the premise lol. Horrible place, very sketchy and another security guard told me they only want a certain race of people to enter. Whoever reads this, you join the dots but yeah…. I’m pretty appalled. I would recommend if you enjoy talking to power tripping...

This is an indescribably awful place. We were told we couldn't enter without a booking. Once we managed to get in the place was empty (literally only two other people were there).

Additionally, the staff forced us to purchase a locker for $20. I asked if I had to get a locker, and the security told me it was non-negotiable. Of course, since it was empty we left right away. The staff refused to refund the $20 although the locker was totally unnecessary given the empty dancefloor.

The bouncers are hilariously sad individuals with an authority-complex. You can tell that they've never treated anybody with respect - especially not the owners of this club.

This is just a terrible business, and is clearly disinterested in their customers' enjoyment. Absolute scam and I highly recommend going to one of the more popular & free-of-hassle...
