I do not recommend this store in the slightest. I bought new Crazy Horse Jadons for over $400. They only had a size smaller than what I had. The server, Genevieve stated that I could try them out and return them if the size wasn't a good fit. They also told me to apply the Balm and condition it when I got home. I did so.
I tried it for 6 days, and the plastic base was already coming off, as well as it looking very heavily worn. I was breaking it in by walking on my hardwood floors at home. I put the balm on once or twice, as I was scared of it cracking.
I gave up and decided I wanted a refund. I went back to the store and Genevieve refused a refund, stating that I shouldn't use SHOES ON HARDWOOD FLOOR, as well as I shouldn't have used the balm.
She also stated that I shouldn't have used the balm. She told me to use said balm when I purchased the item, and I never was warned of it voiding the return policy.
I said this is clearly not fair to me as a consumer, as I was never warned of it voiding it, and I was directly told to apply the Balm when I started breaking it in.
Never mind the fact that she said it would be okay for me to bring them back after a while if I wasn't happy with the size, as it was the last one they had and I had to take what I could get.
Its unacceptable behaviour that the plastic was already coming off less than a WEEK after purchasing it.
It's extremely pretentious that I get told, that my $430 boots aren't supposed to go on hardwood floor. And Genevieve recommended carpet instead. Wow. Am I buying slippers or boots?
I only wore them indoors as I was breaking them in for 6 days and they were "heavily worn" as assessed by Genevieve. So I say they are clearly faulty if they can't survive even a week without such a trait, but my refund is refused as it isn't faulty enough.

Read moreWent into this store looking to buy a pair of Dr Martens for the first time. Since I have no knowledge and never purchased Docs before, I of course had many questions and requests before spending big... and I could not have had a better customer service experience.
I was first greeted by Josh who was very warm, friendly and knowledgable and pointed me in the right direction to different options. My experience was then continued with Cody who was also extremely friendly, understanding and helpful. I had to try several different designs and different sizes to eventually get the right fit, but Cody (and Josh) attended to all my needs and were more than willing to keep going back and forth so I could be 100% comfortable before purchase. I think quality customer service (to this extent anyway) is getting harder to find nowadays, but there was no effort or hassle whatsoever for them to answer my several questions and help find the exact boot and size suited for me. They clearly love their job and are the exact people a customer wants to deal with!
A Massive Thank You to Cody (and Josh) for making my first experience a great one, and for all of your knowledge and patience and understanding! Would definitely recommend this store if I know of anyone interested in Dr...
Read moreCheck this out. Dr. Martens has several outlets in Melbourne. The stores have a very similar design, the collections and accessories are the same everywhere, even the prices are the same. Do you want to know what makes the difference and what makes this shop better than others? The staff who are assigned to this store. Here, at the Melbourne Central store I received unique assistance and kindness. I particularly thank the assistance of Niamh who on 14th December 2024 changed my shoes, advising me on a pair more suited to my personal needs and making my day better. Niahm was kind, smiling, listened to me actively even though the store was very busy and was quick and efficient. That's costumer care!...
