I went to the meccas in melbourne central, amazing experience the workers were all so lovely and tend to your needs, but there was this one worker (african maybe indian) who gave me a 'stank' face (only way I can explain it) and accused me and my friends very rudely of 'stealing' a lipgloss. She first asked me " did you put back the h28 lipgloss " (I'm not sure if it was h28 but it sounded like that, but I have no idea in heck what that is) and I was confused so I asked " what lipgloss? " and she said "the h28 one you took " and I responded with " I never took any lipgloss?" and she asked me in a manner and tone in a way that she had told me before which reminder me and my friends had never seen her in the store before nor did she come up to us at all in the time we were at the store. Since my friends were around me I had to clarify if she was talking to me so I said "me?" and she said "yes you you took the lipgloss" and I responded with " I didn't take anything" (once again, I had to keep repeating myself) So then she responded with " are you sure?" and I said " yes" and she said " yeah because if you're lying we have cameras " she said this in such a rude way her tone changed, everything. And as I was baffled by this and so were my friends she walked off. As she walked off the nice employee came up to ask if we needed anything or anything we're searching for in specific, I politely said everything was alright but after a few seconds of thinking, I went up to her and the same time another worker went to her aswell and I asked them both, if they sold the liptint I had (since it was the only thing I was holding in a package so I assumed the worker assumed wrong) And the worker said that they didn't sell it or anything of CLIO (the brand of the liptint) so that made me even more confused. Which I proccedd to tell them what happened to me as the worker kindly told me that he could talk to her if I wanted too. (this is the MECCA in melbourne central right next to supre, all the workers were so nice and lovely it just so happened to be this one, maybe she mistaked me for someone? But I highly doubt it as she was so set it was me even confirming that I took the lipgloss. *I never went to any lipgloss areas nor lip things in general. me and my friends left right after this happened and never came back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went into Mecca in January to exchange a bare minerals powder foundation for a Mac one. I asked for a colour match. I checked for stock online before going in, so I knew the 2 shades I wanted to test should ideally be in stock.
I am not sure what the ladyās name was, but she was absolutely not competent or interested in helping me. Told me there was no tester for the other shades but just unopened packages, more than one), and I should just buy the one I tried because āyou can always fix it with your liquid foundationā. Then she told me to go to the MAC store (and come back to Mecca to buy it) if I really wanted a colour match.
Now, I donāt know what your tester policy is, there was more than one unopened product, so there was enough to create a new tester, but if you have some rule against it, then thatās how you operate. BUT, 1) no, I donāt want to just buy the wrong shade and fix it with something else. Thatās just poor customer service, if not downright insulting. And 2) if Iām going to MAC store for a colour match and they go above and beyond to provide me with a welcoming service, I would very much be spending my money at MAC. Itās ridiculous to expect me to go get a colour match at another store to then come back and give my business to you guys. And lastly 3) explain your policy to me rather than literally show me the door. I do mean literally. The amount of time she gestured to the door was insulting.
You sell makeup and skin care, and personal items. The attitude of take it or leave it is just tiring and not welcoming. You are not drugstore selling drugstore brands and you charge premium prices for your item and Iād assume the service. If I want to look orange or anaemic, Iāll buy drugstore foundation.
And before someone tries a āplease email usā, I did, you didnāt care. So I hope this review tells people what to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi Mecca Maxima Melbourne Central Team, Iāve just bought brand new Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm. But itās really really DISSAPOINTING. Iām not a beauty expert but at least Iām not stupid as a makeup lover for high end products. So, let me review whatās make me mad. Iāve come at Mecca store at 6.02PM, wearing thin unbranded sweater and want to buy this lip balm for a gift to my best friend, the store is quite busy and there is no beauty assistant who take care of me. And because Iām in a hurry, I took the lip balm tester and give it to the cashier and ask for the ābrand newā one. The cashier lady is ask āIs no one there? Itās okay Iāll do it for you.ā I saw with my both eyes that she took the new lip product from the drawer and gave it to me. I go to the cashier to do the payment immediately, but thereās also no one at the cashier, only one asian lady who also handle customer. I was queue and patiently waiting, until there is one BA saying āAfter Iām handling this, Iāll take care of youā. and he asking for another BA to handle me, but they said they waiting for their customer. So far, I think itās totally fine and I can still wait. It was going well for the payment, I gave the gift for my best friend and guess what? She said āIs the lip balm doesnāt have any lid?ā LOL. As a high-end brand cosmetics?! Can you tell my feeling right now? Embarrassed and disappointed. If you can see from the photo as well, the lip balm doesnāt look like a brand new, because there is like smudge of the product. So if I can assume it should be the TESTER LIP BALM? and how could you sell it to the customer? And again, I can just refund or exchange to the store but itās a gift. Itās really disappointing, inappropriate, and...
