Tess was amazing!

I recently joined the drinking history tour with a spooky twist, and Tess absolutely made the experience unforgettable. I attending solo which had me feeling a bit awkward, but from the moment the tour started, Tess made me feel so welcome and included. She's engaging, thoughtful, genuinely hilarious, so easy to connect with, and great at reading the vibe. Don't even get me started on her quick wit and excellent banter.

What really stood out though, was her deep knowledge of Naarm’s history, and not just the usual stuff. Tess shared stories and eerie anecdotes that were completely new to me, despite having lived here for over 30 years. I honestly learned more about this city in one afternoon than I have in decades. From hidden laneways to hidden bars, and chilling tales I’d never heard before, every stop was fascinating.

This was such a great experience! I booked the Hidden Bars & Creepy Tales, and it did not disappoint. Booking was simple and confirmed quickly and then meeting up with the group was easy as well - sometimes meeting up with a tour can be awkward or hard to find, but not this one. From the get go, Brigette made us all feel like she’d known us for a long time. She created a great environment where she made us all feel welcome and created a space where we all felt we could ask questions. I cannot say enough good things about this impressive guide! The guides make or break a tour, she made it incredible. She did a great job of tying all the history together as well walked and I’m pretty sure she had an answer for every question we had. She also had great drink recommendations. In addition to her knowledge about the tour, she was also a really cool person to learn about. She’s a wealth of knowledge. 10/10 would recommend this company and try to get on...

If you're looking for something different to do in Melbourne, you've got to book a drinking history tour. Ben the Bossman was amazing to deal with and booked our group a private tour to work in with my hubby's birthday. Lenny was our tour guide for the day and we had so much fun with him (& he even rescued me from a heyfever attack!). He took us around the streets, giving us the history of Melbourne's drinking and bars etc. We stopped at 3 cool bars that we wouldn't have found by ourselves (except 1 that was already a favourite of ours!), and even had snacks to keep us 'balanced'. We loved Lenny so much that we made sure he enjoyed some cocktails (responsibility) with us and wanted him to stay for kick ons! Overall, one of the best days we've had out in Melbourne.
