I recently visited the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Melbourne for documentation translation services, and overall the experience was quite positive. The office requested arriving at least five minutes before appointment to ensure a smooth process.
When we arrived, there was a slight hiccup —another visitor had trouble opening the door and ended up waiting for more than 10 minutes before calling to ask for assistance. The staff explained that generally the door is not locked, but for some reason it was on that particular morning. Their email response is not like in the past so I didn’t get any reply and ended up ordering the wrong type of police certificate and $86 down the drain 🥲 I’d recommend going maybe a month/4 weeks before you leave in case they are requiring you to submit more documentation. The building uses the latest advance lift system, where you have to enter destined floor through panels for it to arrive groundfloor, but later you would notice you should approach security desk first. Why not leave a note, electronically or a piece a paper, on the panel, as a reminder? As a tenant of the building, it's Tesco's obligation and right to pass on...
