Update 31/01/21: Seafarers just keeps getting better and better. We love the beer garden and courtyard areas. Today we went for lunch. They're serving delicious South Melbourne Market sausages between 12 and 4 on Sunday afternoons. Original review: Great place to drop in! They provide assistance and accommodation to international seafarers who dock at Melbourne's ports, but it is also open to the public. Plenty of interesting items of Melbourne's maritime history to see. They host lots of cultural events, art showings etc. There's a bar and pool table. Spaces to rent for events are available too.

2024: Polly's and Lucid danceclub, threw quite an interesting party here in this historic building. Quite the eclectic mash up held together by underwater themes. The space has immense potential, with many rooms and even a chapel. A playground for land dewellers and sea lovers alike.

Little gem in the busy city. Public welcomed, very interesting to visit as lots of history. Light lunch and drinks available. Can also ask staff to open the chapel for a sticky beak. A great service offered to the Merchant Seaman of the world.

The coolest seafarer's seaman club i have ever visited. They have the list of all the ships currently in port. They provide taxi services from and to port to their seaman club. They provide free wifi and coffee or tea as snacks.

Clean and hygienic place. Right in the middle of the city. They are the best in business.

The mission to seafarers was a home away from home for myself and many crew. A warm welcome and smile. A place to relax, contact family and loved ones, have a chat with a local who were always so knowledgeable. We even got to have a bbq in the garden as our ship was in for a few months on repair.
