If you are reading this and looking for a place to eat, look no further. If you’ve never had Viet food before, look no further. This place easily qualifies as an icon of Melbourne. The food is great, the atmosphere is superb and filled with feel-good vibes, and the location is beautiful, with a sight you won’t get in many places, the Seafarers bridge. Named as such in homage to the ‘Mission to Seafarers’ centre and to represent Melbourne’s rich maritime history, and although really pretty in daytime, should you be lucky enough to come here at night, you’ll see the bridge light up in all its beauty, contrasting the dark of the night around it.

The location is a bit hard to find, and there’s a place that might look similar nearby, but when you find this place, take your first bite, and can’t stop, you’ll know it’s the right place.
Enjoy your time and experience here and in Melbourne. There’s so many hidden gems and this is definitely one of the...
Read moreCan’t say much about service and experience as I had bought takeaway through Doordash.
But food was very disappointing considering the reviews. Either they are inconsistent or the reviews aren’t very honest.
The spring rolls were great. Sauce was good and was served with lettuce as it should.
However, the bahn mi was super disappointing. I always thought you can’t go too wrong with bahn mi, but I was wrong. I had the crispy pork roll which the pork was crispy, sure, but it was mostly fat and hardly any meat. The fillings were also quite stingy, and the only other fillings with decent amount was the carrot. Hardly tasted the coriander or spring onion. The worst part that ruined the whole flavour and balance was the sauce! It was super bland and runny like it was watered down. Was looking forward to the meal and felt let down. I struggled forcing myself to finish it. Would never order it again. Not even with...

Recently, the owners improved the outdoors space with a few ambiance lights and new chairs. They also changes their menu (not sure this is uploaded on their page yet) so that you can actually see pictures of the dish and can venture out a bit more.
Some of the downsides are that it is in a windy spot so if you eat outside, you might want to bring up an extra layers (for those that recognise themselves). The indoors ventilation could be improved a little.
I am so glad this restaurant made it through the pandemic and if you are in the area, they absolutely deserve your visit (or...
