Excellent is an understatement! Where do we begin. We celebrated our son’s first birthday with close to 90 guests at Munich Brahaus Melbourne. Connor has been amazing from the very beginning. The minute we had our dinner and made our function inquiry, we were already confident that we were good in hands. Connor is very accommodating and kind. The food was generous and the atmosphere is very friendly and warm. The view of the promenade was lovely. On the day of our function, Connor surprised us with the best setup for our event complete with kids packs to keep the children entertained. He paid attention to every detail and offered invaluable input to ensure that our event was a success. The food was delicious and the servings were very generous. Our head waiter - Elijah, made everything so smooth flowing and stress free. He’s got everything under control despite the large number of guests. Our guests were raving about how generous the food were and how friendly the staff are. They reckon the staff were always making sure that everyone was having fun and enjoying the feast. You can easily tell that the staff love what they do because they are all smiles the whole time. Thanks to your team Connor and Elijah! You guys are the best! We will definitely be back and by the way you impressed our guests, I’m sure they will also be back with their family and friends. P

Munich Brauhaus definitely brings out the vibes at Melbourne SouthWharf. Enjoyed a lovely night with traditional German music, Bavarian beers & hearty meals in a vast, lively space. This July, they are bringing Ski season to SouthWharf with a series of must-attend Winter bashes to thaw the chilliest of nights! They also have a new winter menu! Love this place. Great service. Great food and if course great beers. The atmosphere here is also awesome. Even when it's empty you don't feel like there are not many people around. There is always music playing which makes it feel alive. Excellent location along the water, in spring and summer have a beer and enjoy the sunshine with outdoor seating. There is a Great selection of beers on tap and also spirits. The food is also really good and tasty and well worth the price. We went at lunchtime and had the special $29 meal which includes a beer or soft drink. The staff are awesome very friendly and attentive. We even got free Schnapps shots when the bartender walked outside with free drinks and rang a bell. It does take me back to Oktoberfest in Germany. The layout and Stein's everywhere makes you feel like your not in Melbourne. If your ever at DFO South Wharf you must pop in here and check it out.

This place is great for groups, particularly groups with kids. The band is entertaining but so loud difficult to speak to person sitting 2 down from you. Have a good variety of drinks except they do not serve coffee and I'm always amazed whenever I go to a restaurant in Melbourne that doesn't serve coffee. And yet we had to wait 25 minutes for 2 of our drinks (apple juice, sparkling). 5 of us shared pretzels, mac 'n' cheese bites and chips. Then 2 vegetarians had salads (very generous serving size) while 1 meat eater had schnitzel and the other 2 shared tasting platter (3 types of sausage, pork knuckle, chicken schnitzel and roast pork). Husband said really nice. None of us had dessert but they offer strudel, ice cream and chocolate brownie. The place is enormous and I can imagine Oktoberfest it is packed!

I had a delicious and giant Löwenschnitzel with generous amount of crispy chips, very little coleslaw. Upon the recommendation of the friendly and attentive Jake, I ordered a 4 Pines Kolsch beer (starting from 500ml!), which is quite light and refreshing. Friendly service and great food, the only problem is people started to get drunk and rowdy and my old friend found it impossible to hear me talking so we had to leave. We visited the restrooms before leaving. He told me there was a vomit in men's toilet. It would be a five star venue for people who don't mind the noise and able to tolerate some drunken behaviour. Also the 4.5% surcharge is something you may want to be aware of. I have to thank Jake for taking care of us, hope you do get some good tips tonight for your professionalism.

Second time here, mainly for the pretzel. However it's now too salty with the gigantic salt crystals on top. The food in general was too salty too - maybe a way to get customers to buy more drinks? The beer was great although a bit on the pricier side. Staff were nice and friendly, but difficult to get their attention with the loud music and chaotic energy in the restaurant. Speaking of that, the live music and entertainment portion was way too loud - received loud environment notification on my smart watch. We were sitting the first row closest to the stage but even the furthest table isn't spared. We were trying to finish our food so we could get out ASAP. Surely it's not healthy for staff to work in such a loud environment on a daily basis.
