This is a review about the rude Female manager that was in today 5th Oct 2023 at 3pm. (Order 319)
During my visit, I interacted with an employee who was courteous and helpful. However, I observed an unsettling incident involving the employee and the female store manager who was simultaneously engaged in a conversation regarding the system or other matters. Regrettably, the manager's demeanor was less than satisfactory and left me in disbelief.
The manager exhibited a discourteous attitude towards the employee, even uttering phrases such as "don't stress me" in a rude tone. In situations where employees seek guidance or assistance, it is imperative that a manager responds with patience and courtesy. If a manager is unable to fulfill this basic expectation, it calls into question their ability to effectively oversee both the staff and the store.
I couldn't help but notice the employee who had taken my order. She appeared to be a young, innocent individual, diligently performing her duties without engaging in any form of argument or confrontation. I sensed her discomfort as she looked at me, likely recognizing my shock at the manager's behavior.
I made a request to have a conversation with the manager. When she arrived, she seemed surprised by my intention to address any matter. I respectfully conveyed my observation that her conduct had been impolite and that she should strive for a more considerate interaction with her staff and apologise to the girl. However, she denied any rudeness.
It is my belief that a manager should consistently exhibit a welcoming attitude, providing polite responses to inquiries and concerns, both from customers and staff alike. Even in my own interaction with the manager, I perceived an unwarranted attitude. She proceeded to question the employee in my presence, creating a potentially intimidating environment that could deter honest feedback.
I observed the employee's hesitation, perhaps due to a fear of job security, and it deeply troubled me. This led me to stand up not only for this particular employee but for the well-being of all staff members working in your establishment.
I kindly request that you address this matter with the manager who was on duty at your Hurstville location during my visit. They didn’t have popcorn chicken available so I asked them to replace it with something else other than chips because we don’t like chips. The person serving me asked their manager and I watched with my own eyes where he said yes. The boy serving me obviously new so he asked a coworker, he asked this girl to help him on the screen and this girl was so rude. She told me I have to order chips and I explained that the manager approved and this boy agreed, she was just being so so so rude about it like honestly it’s just chicken. In the end she still didn’t give me my chicken and I just asked for a dinner roll.
