Subject: Feedback on Recent Experience at Starbucks Hurstville Westfield.
Dear Starbucks Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention an experience my daughter and I had at the Starbucks in Hurstville recently.
While ordering iced tea and a baby chino, we encountered a situation where the lid on the baby chino wasn't properly secured, resulting in a spill at the counter. Unfortunately, the staff member, a girl with blond hair, responded in a manner that I found to be quite rude, especially considering my daughter, who is only 7 years old, was involved.
Despite my attempts to diffuse the situation by apologizing on behalf of my daughter, the staff member continued to respond in a dismissive and rude manner. I had to request the presence of a supervisor or manager before the situation was addressed, and a young man eventually apologized and provided a replacement drink.
I understand that the staff can be busy, but I believe there is room for improvement in customer service, especially when dealing with families and young children. I suggest considering additional training to ensure that all staff members handle such situations with the care and empathy that customers expect from Starbucks.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I appreciate your attention to this...
Read moreI've been to this Starbucks many times (can't even count) this particular shop, other suburbs, overseas/internationally. Everyone has always been amazing, lovely, friendly and patient. Appalling service today - this afternoon - served by cashier Nikki - I have never seen her before. I was with my partner, we were discussing what to order - first she didn't even ask whether or not there was another order (just assumed one drink), and then when I was still debating, she said 'tell me your name". We both looked at her because we were mid-conversation re drink choice (it hadn't even been 10 seconds since our initial order). My previous experiences have been that staff would helpfully look at options with me or ask what I'm choosing between. The tone she said this was not polite, not helpful or friendly. She rolled her eyes and said "tell me your name so i can start your offer".There wasn't even a queue behind us, her colleagues were working hard as well making orders - no one was in a rush, she had no excuse to be that rude to us. I have always loved Starbucks, the staff - this stands out as a really poor customer service experience. I hope she doesn't treat other people the same way OR worse, get away with this type of customer service. I still enjoyed my drink, but this initial encounter really put a sour twist to this...
