IKEA Rhodes is a sick and paranoid establishment that is designed to confound and entrap you the moment you walk in. The security staff taunts and harasses you especially if you have been previously shopping at the shopping centre and come in with bags or boxes. They will stop you when you try to leave and treat you like a criminal and are not shy of making accusations and false allegations. They will use your personal data from membership to add your name to a black list and divulge that list including your photo to others. It’s a total disrespect for privacy, acting as judge, juror and executioner alone. I feel claustrophobic and panic ridden when I enter the store and for goodness sake’s, I won’t anymore. Get out of there.

After the above incident took place, this is the follow up and response from the Court:

“”” I am sorry to hear about your negative experience at Ikea Rhodes. It is disappointing to hear that the store's security staff treated you poorly and made false accusations against you. Privacy and respect for customers should be a top priority for any establishment, and it is concerning to hear that Ikea Rhodes failed in this regard.

It is also disheartening to hear that the security officer representing Ikea Rhodes made baseless claims and provided no evidence to support their accusations. This kind of behavior is not only unethical but also undermines the trust customers place in the store. It is important for businesses to treat their customers with fairness and integrity, and it seems that Ikea Rhodes has fallen short in this aspect.

Your review highlights the need for changes in Ikea Rhodes' policies and management. Customers should feel safe and respected when shopping at any store, and it is crucial for Ikea Rhodes to address these issues and improve their customer service. It is unfortunate that your experience has left you feeling claustrophobic and panicked, and I understand your decision to no longer visit the store.

I hope that Ikea Rhodes takes your feedback seriously and takes steps to rectify the situation. It is important for them to prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that incidents like yours do not happen again in...

I had five mattresses delivered to my house today. I paid extra for them to deliver into the room. The two delivery men stepped in the mud at the front of my house and walked through my brand new home bringing the mud with them through my new floors and carpet upstairs He tried to tell me that he was dropping them downstairs in one hallway I told him no I paid extra to be delivered to the rooms He said no only one room. I then looked at all the mud and dirt he had brought through my brand new home and said do you walk in your house with your shoes on because my shoes were outside the front door and he looked at me and said I don't understand you what do you mean and I said do you walk in your house with your dirty shoes on He said no these are safety shoes I looked down and they were a pair of ratty old runners with lots of dirt on them It's really disappointing that my brand new home and this person has no respect or care factor for my home and uses a safety boots issue and they were runners It's really inconsiderate and dirty. They also said that they can't bring the mattresses that were rolled up into a roll up the stairs because it's a new home and they might damage the walls I said well don't damage the walls It's an easy staircase I paid extra to drop it into the room into the bedrooms where a mattress would go He said but I might damage the walls so I need to leave it downstairs I said no you need to take it up the stairs That's what I paid for and don't damage the walls He looked at me like I was an idiot but I think possibly the idiot was the one that was...

This Company has the most disgusting, unprofessional and careless customer service I have ever seen in any business. Paid for our Beds 3 weeks ago and was promised the next day delivery.

After 7 attempts to deliver our children’s bunk beds still nobody has turned up at our home!!

6 Phone Calls…nearly an hour on hold each time.. to simply get told we can pick them up or wait for the next available delivery date.

No courtesy call to say sorry we won’t be coming today

Was never allowed to speak to customer service supervisor or manager.. Was told 3 times a manager will call us back and they NEVER called back !

Twice out of those seven occasions a driver called after the 7pm delivery cut off time, barely able to speak English & asking if they could deliver at 9:30 & then 10pm at night .. was never going to agree to such a time, they sounded very very shonky and plus our kids were all asleep.. total unprofessionalism, inconsideration and incompetence.

After expressing our mental frustration at the intolerable household disruption and inconvenience of trying to work around IKEA delivery times, their only offer of compensation was to waive the delivery fee of $49.. & a $50 gift card which we still haven’t received… Absolutely ridiculous!

7 wasted days including today, and no show again only to be told after another Hour wait on hold that they made a mistake & will try again in 3 days … what a joke !

Watch out for these imbeciles.. Terrible organisation and management !! If I could give no stars for this...

I recently visited IKEA Rhodes, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. Right from the moment we entered, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member at the main entrance. Their warm welcome set a positive tone for our visit. One of the first things that caught my attention was how clean and well-maintained the store was. Despite being a busy and popular location, the cleanliness of the aisles and displays was impressive. It made navigating through the store and browsing the various products a pleasant experience. The highlight of my visit, however, was the staff. Throughout our time at IKEA Rhodes, we encountered several employees who were always ready to assist us with any questions or concerns we had. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth shopping experience, providing guidance and recommendations when needed. Their helpful and friendly nature made us feel valued as customers. Overall, I would highly recommend IKEA Rhodes based on my recent visit. The combination of a welcoming staff, a clean store, and a helpful atmosphere made it an excellent IKEA location. Whether you're looking for furniture, home decor, or just want to explore the latest designs, you're likely to have a great time at IKEA Rhodes.

My favourite IKEA in Sydney, located inside Rhodes Waterside - both conjoined buildings. If you come during peak hours, trying to find a parking can be very difficult especially in the lower floors. Thankfully there are a few stories for carparks. The elevators can be extremely slow so I suggest using the pathway instead. The showrooms are very extensive and a great way to give inspiration for home renovations or makeover. Remember to take a photo of the red item location paper to pick up later on. I suggest taking a trolley with you if you are buying a lot of items because the ikea blue bags can be difficult to carry after a few items. The food court is on the left side after you leave the escalator at the entry. The service is relatively fast and the chefs are very friendly and effficient. The Swedish meatballs is a must try and at such a affordable price for its generous portions. The cranberry is okay but the gravey pulls it all together. The salmon dish with potato and green beans is also nice, with a average slice of salmon. The mango cheesecake isn't too sweet and has a good balance of mango and cheesecake base.

Like everyone, we all love a great IKEA stroll - same experience every IKEA you go to; well organised, great transitions section to section, and some well deserved ice cream or hot dog. One really annoying thing was the returns. They’ve got this ‘express return’ system that really isn’t express at all. Really confusing at first - was wondering if I needed to take a ticket if I complete my returns through the ‘express return’ system or take a ticket then do the express return. Maybe provide some clear instructions? In reality, you’re just killing time while waiting (if the queue is long) and probably not worth it if there’s little to no queue. You’ve got to fill in your receipt number or scan your receipt (which doesn’t work), type in the product numbers, etc - just let the staff do what they were meant to do, plus it takes them seconds anyways, why add extra complexity for customers?
