We just experienced a disgusting customer service no less than the Manager whose name is TJ. We were there at 7:45 waiting to be ushered in. He didn’t even approach us from the entrance but instead pointed to some seats in front of him. Since there were a lot of vacant tables, we instead chose the one in the corner. It was already set up with four plates but on two tables. We were planning to separate the tables and had already sat down when he approached us and told that the table has already been reserved. However there was no reservation sign on the table. My wife then told him that he maybe lying as there was no sign but he replied that it was reserved at 8:00pm. He even told my wife to move to another table but the way he said it was like an order. Grudgingly we had to move to another table and ordered our meals. It was only then that he put the “Reserved” sign there. We noticed that it was already 8:20pm and there was still no one at that table. We suspected that there was really no booking at all. My wife then called another waitstaff and asked for a complaint form as she wanted to report this incident. However the complaint form was a piece of paper that they write their orders. My wife even asked if there was a website were complaints can be made and the staff said there was no website. My wife then asked for him then pointed out why the customers had not arrived yet on that table. At this point, the Manager told us that the reservation has been cancelled after they allegedly receive a phone call. I was seated facing the cashier and at no point did I hear a phone rang or the Manager holding a phone. It was really clear that he was lying and when we confronted him about this he even justified his inappropriate actions. He even stated that the reservation was for 5 pax even if the setting was for 4. We took a photo of the empty table. He was even rude and did not even apologize when he was clearly caught lying. He even said “I don’t care” when my wife told him she does not care where she wanted to sit. This kind of attitude is appalling that for a manager instead of appeasing the situation was instead very confrontational. I implore to the owners of this establishment to discipline or even fire this Manager. He lacks customer service skills and becomes aggressive if confronted. It sad to say even if the food was great, this Manager’s attitude sucks and this is not good for the restaurant’s reputation. We will avoid dining in this place until this Manager is stood down...
Read moreIn short, the restaurant serves food worthy of praise but is overshadowed by poor management.
I ordered a Pad Thai with vegetables and tofu, the menu explicitly stated in the description that rice noodles were used. Along with this, the addition of egg was not mentioned in the description but the three successive noodle plates on the same page all had mention of egg in their descriptions. When our plate was served I noticed that it contained egg, I asked the waitress if I could see the menu again to make sure that I had not made a mistake when reading the description. When I was certain that I had not made a mistake I called the waitress over and asked her if the dish that she served us was in fact the dish that I thought I had ordered. She then confirmed that it was in fact the Pad Thai from the menu to which I questioned the lack of egg in the description while three other noodle dishes mentioned the presence of egg. The waitress empathised with my position and offered to exchange the plate for another dish without egg. As my partner and I were choosing another noodle dish the waitress interjected stating that the Pad Thai noodles have egg in them. I then pointed to the description of the Pad Thai which explicitly stated that rice noodles were used rather than egg noodles. She then asked if my partner and I are Vegetarian/Vegan, to which she then walked over to the counter and grabbed a laminated sheet of paper from a bunch which easily exceeded the amount of menus available in the restaurant and handed it over to which the title read "Vegetarian Menu". What irritated me the most was that not only were the descriptions of the noodle dishes poorly written, but there was no mention of a vegetarian menu anywhere on any of the material given to you when seated in the restaurant. Not to mention that the standard menus and vegetarian menus are literally situated at opposite ends of the restaurant. Would it not be more lucrative and mindful to offer both menus when seated to avoid...
Read moreDo not come, spend your money elsewhere!!!!!! This review is going to be long and I will explain my rating in three dot points: Low-quality food: The egg in crab and prawn omelette was slightly burnt. Inadequate amount of food served and I was not enough half full with $20 spent (and I couldn't even spot there the crab meat is). My partner ordered a $14 'angry noodle' which is basically a tom yum noodle. If you want to know how it tastes like, go to the thai supermarket and buy those $1 thai instant noodle, they taste literally the same. Unknown black spot on the chicken: as shown in the last two photos attached below, you can see those dark spots and areas on the chicken meat. I asked the waitess what this is and she couldn't explained it. She said they can cook us a new bowl of noodle, but she was called away by her manager (seems to be) before we could reply her. Then, she returned to us with her 'manager' claimed those dark spots to be the bruise of the chicken and were not from them (i.e., a disclaimer saying that this is not their responsibility regarding the quality assurance of food). Bad customer service: the waitress never mentioned anything about refund and cook us a new bowl after this, and left us an impatient look on her face. I won't expect a decent customer service from a street stall, but the customer service is below the average considering those factors that the restaurant is at a shopping mall, average quality food while being pricy.
Never ever gonna...
