In a marketplace awash with sameness, Saardé stands apart with a strong, coherent point of view. There’s a quiet confidence to their offering—a refined minimalism that doesn’t tip into sterility. I purchased two bags, a pair of olive wood spoons, and a bar of soap. Each item feels thoughtfully made. The materials and finishes suggest durability, though only time will confirm that promise. The olive wood utensils are, admittedly, an indulgence—I already own more than I reasonably need. And yet, the tactile pleasure and rustic elegance of Saardé’s craftsmanship made resistance futile. The soap, while priced on the higher side for its size, is beautifully scented and visually considered—an object of small but sincere pleasure. The bags are well constructed, with a balance of utility and understated design that doesn’t try too hard.

Saardé is not inexpensive, but it doesn’t pretend to be. What you’re buying here is a sense of restraint, integrity, and aesthetic clarity. I may not return for more immediately, but their online store has certainly earned a place in my rotation of slow, considered browsing. Stumbled across the new flagship store in Redfern recently and was blown away by the delicious homewares and ambience. The two women working there were engaging, very helpful and their customer service was exceptional (they are a credit to you, Saarde!) ... love love the central marble sink and aged brass tap where you can try some of their products. I made some purchases of course, which won't be my last. After-sales support with one of the items i took home was also great; a replacement arrived and a reply paid label emailed quickly for me to return the item - no dramas. THIS is how you run a business where people will return to time and time again. Saarde has been one of my favourite shopping experiences! Not only do they have such beautiful items ranging from soaps, homewares such as cushions and throws and/or blankets, they also sell the best perfumes and hand creams. Their oils are to die for, the fragrances are out of this world, I cannot recommend them enough, you won’t be disappointed. Try Saint Raphael room spray, perfume and hand cream and soaps!!
