Success Arrogance & Worst Service!
Long Review - I have been visiting Maya Veg restaurant since a year now. I love their menu and the variety of options from the list. Quality is up to the mark and no one could match it. I prefer having Punjabi Veg Thaali majorly during my visits but have also tried almost everything from their menu and I admit that I Love this place and their food. 27th Dec, 9.00 pm we visited Maya after a tiring day to end with a good Indian cuisine. We ordered a Punjabi thaali and some extras to accompany. We were asked to wait 20-30 mins as they had lot of orders. We waited for 45 mins and what we got in the thaali was plain curd, some sweet, 2 bowls of daal, 2 bowls of tomato gravy and fresh paneer cut and added on top of it uncooked. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything in the thaali mentioned on the menu board placed at the cash counter. On the menu there was Maharaani Daal, Shahi Paneer, Mushroom and some other curry. On asking the reason for not providing anything from the menu, the person just took the thaali back in the kitchen and never returned. So I went back to the cash counter and asked to speak to the manager. And we received the best response ever. “Manager is busy inside, cannot talk and he has asked to refund your money back”. Loved this customer service & arrogance. I was not even asked for another option but straight left with the money in my hands. It’s true that once you become famous you build arrogance, you start thinking that anything you serve, people will eat it. Or I will make sure I earn the money, no matter what I serve to the customer, we just don’t want to say no to anyone or lose the money. Even if I lose the customer.
We would have happily left if someone from the staff had told us that curries are over. It was 10pm and we were left out with no food and less options available as it was everyone’s time to close. Thanks to Laal Qila a Pakistani & Indian cuisine restaurant across the street who welcomed us and treated us with a good meal even at their closing time.
Though I love your food, Maya, you have lost a good customer who had advertised your food for free. Thanks,...
Read moreGuys My wife being a business owner I seldom believe in giving my feedback about any restaurant on Social Media but I was so frustrated with the service ,attitude and food quality that I think this is perfect place and time to express myself so that people can understand that their level has drastically reduced. If its goes in this way believe me its tough for them going forward.
Guys we went there with family on 18th Feb 2018 for Anniversary celebration and ordered 1 North Indian Thali,1 South Indian Thali and couple of Samosas.
The only difference between South Indian and North Indian Thali is sambhar and Rasam all other items on both the Thaali remains the same. Moreover they serve North Indian style poori in South indian Thali. Chole for Chana Batura was completely out of taste either it is not fresh or they hardly put any flavoured masalas.
I raised this concern with the staff then they started aruging this is the only way we are selling and one lady at reception told me she is from south India and this is the actual south Indian thali. When I persisted I want to talk to Manager here they told no body is there and we cannot do anything as we are doing whatever owner told me.At last she told me this is what we are selling if you want you eat or leave it.
I complained this to the Owner but she just give a patience hearing but no assurance or offer any compensation . I am not putting name of the Staff who virtually misbehaved with me as I respect their privacy.
So I conclude whatever the quality of the food is there 1st thing a customer required is Friendly behaviour from front staff which is missing. Moreover Quality of the food is bad and specially for south Indian Thali I feel squarely cheated. Guys when you ventured out there be specific in asking what all are...
Read moreWe recently dined at Taj Indian Restaurant as a family of three (with Mom and Dad), and I can honestly say it was one of the most delightful dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home.
We ordered a Paneer Biryani, North Indian Thali, and Masala Dosa, and every single dish was absolutely bursting with authentic flavor. The paneer biryani was aromatic and perfectly spiced, with soft chunks of paneer melting in your mouth. The North Indian Thali was a feast in itself — a beautiful spread of curries, dal, roti, rice, and dessert, each component more delicious than the last. And the masala dosa? Crispy, golden perfection with a comforting potato filling and flavorful chutneys on the side.
What makes this place even more special is that it’s 100% pure vegetarian, which is a huge plus for our family. Every bite reflected freshness, quality ingredients, and the kind of care that only comes from a truly passionate kitchen team.
The staff were courteous, attentive, and genuinely kind, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable without being intrusive. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and had a calm, welcoming vibe — ideal for both casual meals and special family outings.
If you’re looking for authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine with top-notch service, this is the place to be. We left with full hearts and even fuller bellies, already planning our next visit!
Highly, highly recommended — a hidden gem...
