Regarding limits on items....poorly handled. Review based on how the store chain handled this experience. Applies to multiple Freshco locations though. Arizona ice tea on sale for $0.50 per bottle. I wanted 2 case (48). I always follow the limit "if posted".
Not posted on flyer. Not posted on signs where product was. Not posted on signs where product was at a secondary location. Seeing how every other store would post this, I took 2 cases. At the till I was informed while trying to buy it, there is a limit of 24 (at this location). I said it was not posted anywhere so how am I suppose to know. The girl asked another cashier and the other girl says "yes the limit is posted on THEIR communications board". So it is expected that customers go find this communications board and read it before they go and buy their groceries? That is, if this board is even accessible. They strongly enforced the limit. Well I argued can I just ring it up as 2 transaction which will abide by their "so called imaginary" limit in their system since they did not post it and I already had the product. That request was rejected. So I took the second case and put it in the aisle over.
At the location on Queenston road in Hamilton, they tell you to get out of the line and put the product that exceed this imaginary limit (18) back. This location also did not post any limit. So heads up to those who want to buy a little more of any one item.
I am not blaming the cashier as they are following their protocol they were told to do. I am blaming management for screwing customers over and wasting customers time. If there is a limit, just post it right there like every...

Read moreA couple of days ago I went to the cashier (only one available) to pay for my items I had chosen to purchase. One customer ahead was finished paying for her goods and a staff member was up next .When it was my turn the cashier yelled over a few feet of space where there were other staff and proceeded to scan my items as she continued to yell across to her buddies. Not once did she look up but did ask "Do you have a Scene card? How do you pay?" She quickly put the closed sign up when the transaction went through. These people have no sense of customer service skills and yet we the customers pay through the nose for goods, bag our own groceries but are not shown any appreciation. If self check out was an option that would be the route I would...
