Zesty - Shawarma Saj Catering — Restaurant in Burlington

After looking for a good Shawarma place I came across this place. Since they have a high rating I decided to give them a shot. I got the chicken Shawarma plat which consisted of; chicken, rice, potatoes and I choose a greek salad as my salad option. It was defiantly worth a try, they have great food. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the rice was nice and fluffy, even the potatoes which i was originally skeptical of tastes great with their garlic sauce. After i ordered the shaved the chicken in front of me instead of using chicken that had been shaved sometime earlier like osmos does. The only problems for me is that it wasnt very filling, and their hot sauce wasnt hot at all. I did ask for extra hot sauce, but maybe i should have asked for extra, extra hot sauce.

Since i can't give a half a star i decided to give them a 4 star because the food was great. But my real star rating is closer to 4.5

Discovered this Zesty Pita location which is closer to where I live, after having tried the shawarma at the other location on New street. Well this location did not disappoint. Delicious chicken shawarma and rice. The dinner also comes with potatoes and a small salad. I wish it had a bit more chicken. The chicken is served fresh and tasty and they add tasty garlic sauce and hot sauce to your liking. The hot sauce is just the right spice level for me. Spicy enough to give it that extra ‘zing’ but not so spicy that it overwhelms the flavours of the meal. The rice is fluffy and tasty and the potatoes are great. The portion is so large that I usually eat half at one meal and save the rest for the next day when it can taste just as good or better. It’s like the spices gain even more flavour the next day. The guys that work there are friendly and appreciate your business. There is a small area where you can dine in or just takeout like I have. It pains me to post this review as Zesty was always my favorite shawarma place in Burlington for the last two years. However in last one year i have got several times ,couple of them while ordering through Uber , Uncooked chicken mixed with cooked chicken. Its because when you guys are trimming and go deep, the deeper side chicken might not be fully cooked. The staffs should be trained to notice that. Like i said, several times it happened and I still came back since it was not always and usually only a small portion is uncooked. But it happened again today and this was like my final blow. You guys were noticed of this problem through Uber and still are not doing anything to fix the issue. That's why I'm leaving a review here hoping you would find it. Its in your best interest to fix it as serving uncooked chicken is really unhealthy and could cause lot of troubles for you too.
