RnR Wellness Spa at Hôtel Le Germain — Local services in Calgary

My partner and i typically go to the palliser location but for some reason i accidentally made a reservation for this location. When we showed up they let us know. We called this location and they said it would be okay to head on over. We were about 10-15 minutes late for our appointment which honestly i took full responsibility for. Overall, the experience was very underwhelming. We both felt our therapists were rushing and their work was kinda choppy. We booked the couples relaxation massage but it was everything but. Everything felt super rushed and by the time we got dressed and went back to the lounge area our therapist was on her way out the door which confirmed our suspicions. My first complaint was that they never dimmed the lights which made it hard to actually relax. At the end of the massage we decided not to stay and use the facilities because we really were so disappointed with the massage. Once we got back to the reception desk we were told that they could not do direct billing because we did not submit insurance 24 hours before ( we both had new insurance). We felt like for the kind of establishment that the service should have been a lot more polished ( no instructions were given on the day the appointment was made regarding insurance ect) overall, we would not return to...

We were lucky to get a couples massage on fairly short notice! We've visited RnR at Fairmont but never here at Le Germain.

It was nice pulling up at the Valet and not worry about parking and included with any bookings at RnR. The spa is on the top level which is a nice difference from typically being in a basement.

We got keys for our lockers where we had robes and slippers to change into. Each changing room has a sauna which isn't preferred for a couple wanting to spend time with eachother.

Hot drinks are included and I ordered a latte but was told that the milk frother wasn't working (and they had no milk alternatives). I settled for an Americano which was tasty and my wife had a tea. We snacked on trail mix while lounging in one of the waiting areas until our massage.

The therapist, Reggie, was fantastic, 10/10 for him for a 60 minute massage. The best 'spa' massage I have ever had. The facility itself was nice but very closed in and maze like. The infrared sauna was super pleasant and clean. The change room lacked places to hang towels or robes while in the sauna and the key I was given for a locker fit and opened several other locks but not the one that it was labeled for. Not very secure. The parking situation was challenging despite having valet parking included in my service I was unable to pull up to the building to use this service.
