A fun and cozy place to stop for a bite on Stephan Ave! It is a busy place and it's for good reason. Inside you will find unique upcycled décor that gives a rustic yet fun ambiance where there are so many pieces to look at. Still, there is also a comfortable feeling where you have walked into a place that is warm and welcoming. Our server was just that to our little group. She clearly knows how to give good customer service. She knew the menu inside and out, gave good suggestions, and was patient with us when we were not sure what to have when an item of the menu wasn't available. However, with great cheer, she announced that something was back and got what we ordered. Despite being busy, our server checked in with us and was very speedy when it came to getting our meals. Our meals were absolutely delicious. It was impressive to see that such good food wasn't so crazy expensive when we ordered it. There was a little nervousness that the dishes were going to be smaller than what we had thought due to the price. However, this was not the case at all. Things here were a good sized and sated our hunger perfectly. What we ordered was a couple of power-bowls and some garlic cheese sticks as an appetizer. The power-bowls were fresh, flavourful and full of amazing textures. We had some tang and zip thanks to the dressing. The vegetables had a lovely crunch and crispiness where it should. The rice was perfectly cooked and the protein added created a nice balance to the whole thing. The garlic cheese bread was a pleasant temperature and with all that melted cheese made a person have the kind of comfort that food should bring. The marinara sauce that came with it was a little cool but the tomato, basil savouriness more than makes up for it. If you are looking to have a nice night out with a loved one but have a budget that you must keep, this is the place to go. This is a place that is good for a date night, birthday party with friends, or you are taking in a play at one of the theatres near by. Check in today because you will leave feeling happy.

My recent visit to El Furniture Warehouse left me utterly disappointed and dissatisfied. I had ordered the General Tao Cauliflower Bowl, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of frustrating. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow. It took a staggering 40 minutes for our order to be brought out, and only after we inquired about its status. The lack of attentiveness from the waitress was evident, and it seemed like the order was entirely forgotten. When the waitress finally brought out my meal, I was taken aback by its appearance. The dish did not look like cauliflower as I had expected. I raised this concern with the waitress, and she took another trip back to the kitchen to double-check. Upon her return, she assured me that it was indeed cauliflower, dismissing my doubts rather casually. Due to the extensive wait, my friends and I had already decided to pack the food into to-go boxes as soon as it was served. This made it impossible for me to try the food on the spot and identify the issue immediately. It was only when I got back to the office and began eating the meal that I realized the dish I had been served was not cauliflower, as advertised, but instead chicken. This revelation was particularly distressing to me as I cannot consume chicken for religious reasons. This experience was incredibly upsetting and disrespectful, as it not only wasted my time but also disrespected my dietary restrictions. The lack of care and attention to detail from the staff is unacceptable, and I am deeply disappointed by the entire ordeal. I will certainly not be returning to El Furniture Warehouse, and I advise anyone with dietary restrictions or a desire for efficient service to steer clear of this establishment. The misrepresentation of dishes and the disregard for customers' needs make it clear that this restaurant falls far short of the dining experience one should expect

Came in on the suggestion of a friend who sold it as "cheap food and decent drinks downtown", and on that front, it delivers. It's on Stephen Ave, near a lot of much fancier spots. Pretty busy for a hot summer Thursday night, patio was full, but a few tables left open inside. Space is very funky, bit loud, but packs a lot of tables in. Non-gendered bathrooms were clean, and provide a well-lit mirror for all your preening needs. Got a four-top without a wait at around 7pm. I'd heard that service might be slow, but we were quite happy with the speed and responsiveness of our server, who was clearly working hard to stay up to date with all her tables. Drinks are on the cheaper side as well, and as someone at our table put it, it was a drink menu full of things she would have loved to drink when she was twenty, and didn't really like the taste of alcohol. Mixed drinks tended towards the sweet side, and sadly, the moscow mule was served in a regular glass with ginger syrup. But the margarita (while again a bit sweet) was well made. Queso dip starter was a bit small, but for the price (every food item on the menu is only SIX FREAKIN' DOLLARS) it was great. Want more? Order two, and it's still cheaper than anywhere else. Beer selection is a bit limited, but adequate and still on the inexpensive side. Had the beef dip for dinner, which overdelivered for six bucks. Again, portion size is smaller, but it delivered on flavour, and came with a side of fries that smelled EXACTLY like KFC fries. Others at the table had fish tacos, noodle bowls, and the hamburger. No one was blown away by the portion size, but everyone agreed they were getting more than their money's worth. Heck, there was even avocado in the noodle bowl! We stayed for a few drinks, and will probably be back again when we have a bit of time to kill downtown before a show or play, and don't want to break the bank on some munchies.

We've been occasional customers here over the years but this will be the last time we come.

I came here with my baby to sit on the patio and the server told me to choose a far corner so the stroller wouldn't get in the way- not a problem. I chose the corner back table and was already sat with stroller parked right up by the table when she told me I needed to park the stroller at an angle to the side. I explained I needed to still be able to see my baby and give them food, but she insisted it needed to be moved so I went to get up to leave to find somewhere else to eat but she suddenly said I could stay and they'll "figure it out". Ordered fish n chips and a guava cocktail- $11.25 and 8.25. Total came to $20.48 inc tax.

Food was honestly amazing- fish was perfectly battered and freshly cooked and hot, the tartar sauce it came with was equally delicious and complemented the fried fish well and tasted house made. Even the cocktail was delicious! Unfortunately that's where the positives ended.

When payment time came I was told they accepted ONLY credit or cash, NOT debit. This was extremely inconvenient as I don't remember her mentioning this earlier, and conveniently they happen to have an ATM machine on site to get cash out. So I took my baby with me to head all the way into the back of the bar to get cash out, where I was also charged a $3.25 fee.

I gave her $40 expecting her to get change for my $20.48 bill, but she only broke up my $20 notes for some reason, so I gave her $25 in notes expecting change but she went to pocket it all until I asked her for the $4.50 change! She got huffy and fumbled through her fanny pack looking for change and only found $2.50, and gave that to me expecting me to be ok with less than owed. But I said it's still missing $2 so she went off AGAIN.

She comes back 5 mins later, but still only gives me $2.50 in small coins and I had to count it out to show her she's still missing $2. By then it has taken 10 mins just for her to give me correct change. She finally scrounged up enough change for only $4.25 and asked if it's ok, and I finally had enough and said sure and took it and left. After all this I was definitely NOT tipping! I'd never experienced anything like this before and absolutely will NEVER return. I understand servers like to get tips and expect them, but I've always been given the correct change back first then tipped them cash after. The absolute entitlement and greed was beyond belief and ruined what was otherwise a nice meal. Would absolutely not recommend this place until they train their...

My husband and daughters brought me here for some patio drinks on Mother’s Day this past Sunday. The restaurant is great, nice drinks and good food. But the server we had was incredibly disrespectful towards me and I felt so offended and upset on Mother’s Day itself! She was a young blonde woman, with tattoos. We had ordered drinks, I ordered a regular margarita. I then changed my mind and ran inside to let our server know I wanted to change my margarita to the warehouse margarita instead. When she brought the drinks to the table, she brought me just the regular margarita. It could have been just a simple misunderstanding, so I kindly reminded her that I changed my drink and let her know. She then proceeded to say “oh, I thought you ordered the regular margarita” , I then reminded her that I went inside and had it changed. Out of no where, she interrupted me mid-sentence with a loud yell saying“OKAY ILL GO CHANGE IT!” And scurried away before I could say anything. It was so loud, the tables near us turned around. I felt so incredibly disrespected, and belittled by this servers actions. When she brought me my correct drink I softly told her that she has no need to raise her voice at me. She then said “you don’t need to raise your voice at me too!” , this didn’t make any sense as I was speaking at a normal volume to her. This whole experience was the worst experience I have ever had with a server at a restaurant, let alone on Mother’s Day. As a mother, I was just trying to have a good day with my Family, and instead I was yelled at and belittled by my very own server. Having a lot of tables and being stressed does not justify yelling at customers and making them feel uncomfortable. This was a terrible experience. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. Att. I want to update my review. On Mother’s Day, I had left a negative review because of a bad experience we had at the restaurant.

However, I recently returned with my family, and this time everything was amazing. The service was excellent, our server was wonderful, and the food was delicious. The manager George even took a couple of minutes to sit with us and personally apologize for what happened before, which I truly appreciated.

I also want to mention Ray, the Regional Manager, who was very attentive and kept in touch with me to make sure the situation was handled and that we felt welcomed again.

This visit completely changed my impression, and I can honestly say we will definitely come back. Thank you for making...
