The experience I had last night was absolutely terrible and incredibly insulting. The manager behind the counter is extremely rude and has an awful attitude. I made an order for 12 samosas but was told I'm not allowed to choose the flavours I wanted, even though I was choosing within their given options of beef, chicken, and veggie. We ended up settling for a 12 pack samosa order and I paid. A few minutes later when I decided I’d like to update my order by adding a few more samosas and PAYING THE DIFFERENCE she refused to do so by saying “NO your order is almost complete, so you cannot change your order now. All you can do is pay for a full separate order.” She continues to raise her voice in the store in front of all other customers and staff telling me that I’m not understanding how basic math works as she’s laughing at the situation. This led to us both raising our voices to each other. She also runs to the back of the kitchen yelling about me in her language which is incredibly degrading and insulting. She continually blamed the owner for the reasons of not wanting to fulfill my order, and said “the owner comes up with the rules”. Surprisingly the thing they are competent with is how quickly they were willing to give me a refund. Which is SHOCKING considering her reason for not letting me ADD TO MY ORDER is because it was already done…??? LOL this establishment is a joke that runs on zero logic.
I used to love samosa factory, but after last night, I will never go back. If the owner allows this kind of insulting behaviour, shame on them.
Reply to the owner: I’m not sure what was misunderstood in the comments I left above. I did not try to change my order by removing anything. I had ordered a 12 pack of samosas (6 veggie, 6 chicken). I had asked her if I could PAY THE DIFFERENCE so that she could ADD 4 more veggie samosas and I pay for an order of 10 veggie samosas and 6 chicken samosas. ($10 each box). She refused to do so and continued to tell me in front of all her staff and customers that I was not understanding. If your manager tells you anything other than this story, she is a liar. So yes, I stand by what I say when I say your manager is incompetent in understanding a simple request. I was not trying to get a deal. I was simply trying to order what was on your menu and was treated...
Read moreI called the NW location to request a small discount as it was for a Diwali presentation at a non for profit to remain within budgeta week early. I was tossed between the NE and NW Location to have to chat to with a manger. I was goven an email that did not go through to send my request via email, I called the NE location one more time to confirm email and I was given the same email, that bounced my emails. Finally after calling everyday for 5 days, a manager at NW location said she will call me back, after she has checkef with NE location owner, I gave her my correct cell phone number.I waited for a call on Friday, noone called me. I went ahead and placed a order without any discount, when the food was picked up 160 samosa and 5lbs of pakoras, there was no chutney included.Usually the chutney is in the box. It was too late to go back for the chutneys. Finally when I call back in the evening to advise the poor service and embarrassment it caused at the presentation, the NW Manager advised she would give me a complimentary samosa for next time to fix issue. While I appreciate her effort to fix the issue, the full run around andexpecting a call, being told I gave her an incorrect cell phone, which I did not. When I asked for her name I was told why does her name matter, they do not give names.., for me it is important to have a name so I know who I was dealing with and if I go to redeem the free samosa, if I get the run around again I know who to ask for. It is about customer service and accountability. Yes, your Samosa are popular but that does not mean people are treated poorly. Customer service matters in front focused food Industry. I was also told when I placed the order at NW location they only give discount for 1000 samosa PCs. Just so each one of u know if ever you are caught in a run around...
Read moreThe only reason this place gets a star is because they make a good samosa. Unfortunately, a good samosa is not all you need when running a successful business. A successful business requires professional staff, staff who can interact professionally and respectfully with customers and staff who actually care about the business that their tasty samosas bring in.
I've had terrible customer service from this location 2 times within 2 weeks. I don't know what the reason could be, but I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
They have an online ordering system (super helpful), where you can choose your pick up time, etc. This needs some fine tuning, as whoever programmed it, did not program it to work properly with their store hours...this results in disappointment on the side of the customer.
Staff are very rude. The first time I was at this location, I didn't think much of it, figured the woman just was having an off day, however the second experience confirmed it for me, when the staff member rudely gestured my mom to "zip it". This is no way to behave and if you continue this way, you won't get very far with your samosa factory.
I rarely rate businesses so low, in fact, I strive to give out 5 stars to deserving businesses. Most of those stars are earned from the experience had and well, Samosa Factory fried and ate...
