Came here for AYCE but was sadly disappointed and frustrated due to mixed messages delivered from several employees and not being able to fully have an "all you can eat" experience. We had a total of 6 people with one grill to cook all our meat. We put in our first order but one of the servers came back and said "you can order only order 2 servings of meat per person on the first round" and reduced the number of plates on our first order. At first we were confused because it didn't say that on the menu and we understood that if we ordered too much we would be charged $15 per order. The liability would've been on the customers anyways so I'm not sure why we can't order what we want. This restricted us in ordering the amount we wanted resulting in us make more rounds and running out of time by the end of our experience (some of us left not full and satisfied). As dinner progressed (1 hour 40 minutes in), one server came by and said "you have 20 minutes left to order". Knowing that we didn't get to order everything we wanted in the first round, we decided to make one final big order. The food came 10 minutes later and we started cooking the meat. Another server came by and said "you have 10 minutes left to eat, do you think you can finish in 10 minutes?" We were so confused by the mixed messages and did not understand how that's possible to finish eating when we were given the food 10 minutes ago and still had to cook all of it ourselves on one grill. We had two full plates of meat uncooked when he asked. That question was clearly dumb and we were all like wtf. The server was able to see how much food we had on our table when he made that comment. I can't comprehend how that is even possible unless we eat all the meat raw. The servers should have communicated this beforehand and with all the staff for the AYCE rules and whether the 2 hours is eating time or ordering time (please see attached image for reference). We told the server we'll cook and eat as fast as we can and he acknowledged and said we can have more time. It took us an extra 30 minutes to finishing cooking and eating all the food. We cleared all the dishes and left nothing behind. We still had some party members still hungry by the end of it. On the AYCE menu it says one ice cream per customer. At the end we asked another server for the bill and if it's ok to get out ice cream (melona) to go since it says a customer is allowed one. I also noticed another table that received melona with their bills so it should be allowed for us too. The server was unsure so went to ask another employee. Another server came by and said "sorry because we have you more time, we can't give you ice cream". Oh, that's stupid. Didn't know that was a AYCE rule and they didn't even mention that earlier to us. We left disappointed and frustrated that the servers were incompetent and confused on the AYCE rules. Safe to say a lot of us will not be coming back again. TL;DR - AYCE rules not clear for customers and not communicated between staff members. Would recommend other restaurants.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Baekjeong, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful evening.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the premium cuts of Alberta Sterling Silver meat. Each bite was a burst of flavour and tenderness, leaving me craving more. The built-in grill at every table provided a unique and interactive dining experience, allowing me to cook the meat to my desired perfection right in front of me. It was a joy to savour every moment, watching the meat sizzle and char, while enjoying the company of friends and loved ones.

Accompanying the meat dishes were the bottomless Korean-style salads and vegetables, which added a refreshing and healthy touch to the meal. The variety of options ensured that there was something for everyone's palate. Additionally, the combo meals offered a choice of delicious soups like soybean paste soup, kimchi stew, steamed eggs, soft-tofu soup, or corn cheese, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The restaurant's ambiance was relaxing and inviting, making it an ideal location for gatherings and celebrations. The attentive staff were prompt in their service and ensured that our needs were met throughout the evening. I would recommend making a reservation in advance, especially for larger parties, to secure a spot and avoid any potential wait times.

Overall, Baekjeong is a restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its top-notch cuts of meat, interactive grilling, and cozy atmosphere. If you're in search of a place to celebrate special occasions or simply indulge in juicy, mouthwatering meat, Baekjeong is definitely worth a visit.

Furthermore, I was impressed by the attention to detail as they went the extra mile to ensure a superb dining experience. One notable aspect was that they would promptly change the grill in between cooking sessions. This thoughtful gesture not only maintained a clean cooking surface but also prevented excessive charring or burnt flavours that can sometimes occur at other Korean barbecue establishments. It was evident that Baekjeong prioritizes the quality and taste of their dishes, making the overall dining experience even...
